Introducing the Nike N7 Collection

Nike N7 Collection

For more than 10 years Nike has worked closely with Native American communities to provide support through product innovations specific to the needs of Native Americans and by providing grants to support sport programs through the N7 Fund, said Sam McCracken, General Manager of Nike’s Native American Business. “With the introduction of the N7 Collection, consumers now have the ability to be their own agents of change, as the profits from their purchase will help young people in Native American communities realize their potential through sport.”

The N7 Collection was created through the lens of Considered Design where products are engineered for higher performance and lower environmental impact. The N7 Collection features the N7 Air Pegasus+ 26, the N7 Huarache, as well as the N7 SMS RT for preschool and toddler sizes. Read the rest of this entry »

Nike November 2009 Quickstrikes

Nike November 2009 Quickstrikes

If you are chancy on what winterized kicks to cop this year then Nike has unveiled a trio of releases to ensure that you dont’t get cold feet. Releasing as quickstrikes, the Terminator High “Matagi”, Terminator High Surpreme, and Air Zoom Toki embody all the right elements and materials to turn up the heat amid this bitter season.

First up is the Nike Air Zoom Toki, a sophisticated hybrid of sorts which comes correct for the coldest season of the year with a premium leather upper. Next is the Terminator High Supreme which could not have any better timing then to drop mid season with a tumbled leather construction and red laces to accent the overlay. And if “fur” is what you pre”fur” for winter, this Terminator is for you.

Another variation of the Terminator rightfuly named the “Matagi” Terminator High is also part of the quickstrike madness. The word “Matagi” is a group hunter using the old method which translates into “the man of winter”.  Crossed stitching is featured on the lacing system with a mixture of heavy damask and leather on the upper. You can expect these to drop at select Nike Sportswear retailers this month.

Nike Air Trainer SC High 2010 Releases

Nike Air Trainer SC High

I guess I’m spoiled when it comes to the Air Trainer SC High because the new colors make me yawn. The return of Auburn Trainer SC was a good look, especially for those people that’s been wanting a pair for years. The Raiders Trainer SC 2009 retro with the 34 was off, and disappointing. Nike did a great job with the Beet Trainer SC which should be available this month. Everything else has been straight boredom. However, I can honestly say two releases that are set for Summer 2010 are on point, and takes me back to the good ‘ol Trainer SC days (1997-2002).

Things are looking rather blah for the beginning of 2010. You be the judge, and today we report on two upcoming colorways of the Air Trainer SC High. One pair comes with a black/pine green colorway. The other version features a blue safari print along the side panel. Honestly, both colorways are cool, but once you’ve experienced the good ‘ol Air Trainer SC days, it’s hard to give the new releases clearance. If you like what you see, make a note to yourself that the black/pine green SC’s will drop January 2010, and the safari SC’s should release shortly after. They will both retail for $105. via Sneakernews
