Nike Air Jordan 4 (IV)

The Air Jordan IV was designed by Tinker
Hatfield and released in 1989. The style was geared more
towards performance and it also featured the air bubble
unit. Spike Lee was also seen in commercials, and the Air
Jordan IV was also seen in his movie "Do The Right
Thing". Everyone should remember the part from the movie
that featured the Air Jordan IV. That part alone probably
made you want to buy a pair. The retail price was
$110.00.
In 1999, the Air Jordan IV was retroed in two
colorways (white/black and black/cement grey). Retail was
$100.00. These featured the old school Nike hang tag, and
"NIKE AIR" on the back. Since these looked like the
originals they sold out quick, and they are still highly
sought after. Many people say the Air Jordan IV wasn’t
the same once the "NIKE AIR" was replaced with the
jumpman logo. Other colorways of the Air Jordan IV were
released, but none can compare to the original
colorways.
There are some Air Jordan IV’s that are very
exclusive. The Undefeated and the Eminem Air Jordan IV
are very very RARE. The Undefeated pair is limited to 72
pairs and 4 sample pairs floating around. The Eminem pair
is limited to 50 pairs, and this pair is absolutely
fresh. These two pairs together would run you $8,000+
(yikes!).
The Air Jordan IV has many colorways available
now, and this style goes down in history!
