The Air Jordan IX was designed
by Tinker Hatfield and released in 1993.
This style featured an inner sock and #23
on the back. This Jordan also had
different symbols and languages on the
soles that represented Michael Jordan.
The Air Jordan IX can also be seen on his
statue in Chicago, Illinois.
In 2002, the Air Jordan IX was
retroed in four colorways
white/black/red, black/olive, white/flint
grey, med grey/cool grey. The retail
price was $125.00, and low top styles
were also made in white/white, white/navy
blue.
