10 Sneakers That Didn’t Make The Cut

Many of you caught feelings last week about the Best Sneakers of the 2000s list that Complex put together. Complex heard what the internets had to say about their list, so they decided to put out the 10 Sneakers That Didn’t Make The Cut list. Peep what they had to say below:
By now we’re sure you’ve read, and voiced your opinion on, our highly controversial (relax broskis, there’s more to life than sneaker debates) Top 100 Sneakers of the 2000’s list. After looking at your very constructive comments pertaining to the styles that didn’t make the cut, we wanted to give our reasoning for not including certain sneakers on the massive countdown. See, we listen to you guys, and value your opinions (thanks for clicking). Read on to learn why shoes like the Cool Grey XI, Jordan VI/XI DMP Pack, and New Balance x SoleBox Purple Devil didn’t get the nod. Feel free to leave your feedback in the comments, just don’t tell us to kill ourselves like commenter “Qof” did.
List: 10 Sneakers That Didn’t Make The Cut

thats understandable
that’s so not fucking understandable.. eggplant? infrared 90? DMP? cool grey? gotta be kidding me..
man the list was still garbage to me explanation aint help for real
Obviously people bashed the list, but I heard very few if any solid arguments about why it was so terribly flawed. Most of the shoes in question were released prior to 2000 PERIOD. You cannot put grapes, space jams, carmines, foamposite retros, infrared AM90’s etc. on the list. Eggplant foams may have a case being an original colorway, and some of my favorite shoes of the decade were the Haze Dunks and the Olympic (04) Air Force 1. SOLEBOX X New Balance deserved a spot on the list… end of story, that was the biggest mistake in my book and their defense of the omission of just one of the many colab shoes they executed superbly was completly transparent.
Still considering how hype and colaborations defined much of the decade, and NIKE SB was the greatest phenomenon…..the list reflects things fairly well. Jordan represents a shoe of the 90’s for sneakerheads who were around to witness the 6 chips…….00’s its only been about retro J’s(that don’t need to be on the list) and a few very limited colaborations…… Titanium XX3 should have made the list as well.
I think Puma came up with some nice collaborations that deserved more love. Reebok got all the spaces they deserved, New Balance and Addidas might have earned another shoe or two……
As far as the actual ordering goes, I do have many disagreements, but they are based on personal preferences for Air Force 1’s, Dunks, and Nike basketball.
Honestly that makes perfect sense to me….
Too late to put the pin back in after it blows up in your grill! Hell the Cowboy 180 Snakeskins crush them Opium’s! The list was suspect at best! I don’t have time to list every. Example.
Oh, shouts to DJCK, that East Gucci Dunk goes HARD! The extra little details Merc IT! Glad them joints hit the “A”! “When the East is the House…………”
^ in the House!
“relax broskis, there’s more to life than sneaker debates” states off top why they shouldn’t even start the conversation…
“relax broskis, there’s more to life than sneaker debates”…. WTF why even make a list at all if you’re going to be a dick about it. Anybody that took the time to actually go through that list did it because they do care about sneakers, and don’t take it as a joke. Seriously Complex is such a waste of paper, and now bandwidth.
Complex is weak anyway why listen/read their ideas?
Is any list that anybody makes viable???? Ten out of ten times all lists are open for debate and should be taken lightly.
lol 2 reasons why that list is a joke… 1. like it was already stated above if theres more to life then sneakerdebates then why even do a post on sneakers that just shows how wack complex is and contradicts itself! 2. Vans made there list enuff said
I understand the reason why a lot of retros weren’t on the list, but they shouldn’t have put any retros on the list period if they wanna make that case. They should have made it original releases. Hybrids get a pass as well.
complex is the flava flav of magazines, so just going to their website is a complete waste of time, IMO…
regardless theres plenty of other stuff that got left out regardless if they were reissues or sepcial makeups and stuff . shitlist
all i know is that they wouldnt release the BEST DMP to have came out so far and thoes cool grey 11s witch would have looked nice next to some spacejams…well they should have put the WHOLE FUSION line in there,,,,,,,
what vans are those?? those r hot
I don’t understand how in the fuck didn’t da cool grey 11’s not make the list. Who made this list, please tell me…….
ARE YOU STUPID?!?!?! the OG DMP?!?! Hardest kicks still ’til this day for the 00’s man. And Cool Grey 11z?!?! Get smacked those were the most unique 11z. And the eggplant foams?! Son i copped those TWICE. You crazy. The rest was whatever. But ay. All that matters is they didn’t make your cut, but they made mines =] OG DMP’s ALL DAY!
