50,000 Pairs of Fakes – Say No to Fakes Vol. 9
The New York police raided a Flushing wareshouse in Queens, NY and found 50,000 pairs of fake sneakers. A total of $4.5 million worth of counterfeit goods (sneakers, purses, and articles of clothing). It’s being said that this is one of the biggest counterfeit busts to date. This is the best counterfeit bust we’ve ever reported on in our Say No to Fakes series.
The items’ street value was $4.5 million, but if they were the authentic Nike sneakers or Chanel bags, the retail price would be closer to $16 million. The items, made in China, were apparently just about to head out to streets. It’s believed it’s one of the biggest counterfeit good busts ever, and it took eight tractor-trailers to haul everything away. via Gothamist

This just further proves my theory that the fake sneaker game is deep…now it is VERY VERY VERY DEEP beyond imagination. Thanks G and thanks to Nike for getting all these fakes off the street.
