$86K of Fakes! – Say No to Fakes Vol. 15

| August 19, 2008 | Comments (22)

Fakes Sneakers

ATLforces33 held it down in the previous Say No to Fakes by burning some fakes on the 4th of July. It was actually pretty funny, and his crew definitely enjoyed themselves. However, the police are still working hard at keeping fakes off the streets and $86K ($86,950 total) worth of fakes was just confiscated in Vineland, New Jersey. According to NJ, detectives confiscated more than 800 pairs of fake Nike sneakers from a Flea Market. That’s really not a big shocker seeing that most people push fakes out of the Flea Market, or some of our west coast readers might say Swap Meet. Nike’s private team is coming for a bootleg spot near you soon.

According to Detective Lt. Thomas Ulrich, Sumtar Investigative Services, a private firm hired by Nike Corporation, had been looking into reports of counterfeit sneakers being sold at the South Delsea Drive flea market for more than a month. via NJ

Man.. talking bout the D-Town.. lol last time i was there, its shop after shop after shop.

But up here in Grand Rapids, theres a flea market by this movie theatre (Every weekend). Man, i thought they dont make sz 14, 15, & 16 in fakes. Guy has some Laser Baby Blue IV’s. Just a table full of fakes.. Seen him like a few times, after that never saw him again.. wonder if he got busted. But yeah man, when i see dudes rockin’ fake Evisu’s, gets me so damn heated! Cause i pay good money for mine.. Same goes for RMC.

  17. TokyoMike says:

I bet one of the spots they get em made is Korea…..I’ve been there and seen first hand how they sell fake everything. You can get damn near anything made there from suits to shoes, all you need is the basic idea. It’d be nothing to get em to copy some stank ass AF1′s lol….

  20. dj.jbras says:

Damn right, I know I have emailed Nike a few times about shops in my city. One of them even had the nerve to sell fake everything in a big mall here. What an idiot!!!
@ Matt Jones, that is exactly what Nike does with the fakes. They donate the shoes to countries where the poeple don’t even own shoes period. There was an interview with the head of security at Nike and in the interview that question was asked.
@ RJ, yeah I heard about the fake condoms. That’s why I go to the major chains for those.
