When I was in England got to hit up the BAPE store..some products were nice but honestly never been a fan….

  9. ^^escargile I wear BAPE alot….used to live near the original BAPE shop in Aoyama and started buying their shoes and t-shirts back in 97-98.

It’s funny how people try to knock Bape, when in fact Bape sells 99% of their product at asking price. BAPE doesn’t hit sales racks….yet we open up our Eastbay magazine every month and half the magazine is a friggin’ TON of Jordan/Nike/Adidas/Puma/etc that’s over 50% off because it’s not selling. Hit BAPE the day after something drops and try getting it….you’ll walk out empty handed….guarantee.
Yeah, BAPE “borrows” from other brands and flips it a little, and that hurts some peoples feelings (mostly people who refuse to believe designers look outside of their own brains for ideas,) but every brand does it, so that’s kind of a stupid point to make. Nigo (and Horishi Fujiwara) don’t need to prove sh*t to anyone…..the proof is in the way they move product, regardless of what people say.

16 years in the game says it all TokyoMike
you can check the vids of his cribs and kinda
see where he gets his inspiration from (colorway wise)
he has a rooms for Simpsons stuff, Star Wars stuff,
guitars, a Gucci Room (tables, chairs, wallpaper, CEILING)
and a bunch of other stuff…hes truly a kid at heart
    or in pocket lol

  11. ^^They shoot alot of the seasonal BAPE magazines at Nigo’s crib and yeah, it looks like homeboy lives in a damn Toy’s R Us…..I don’t like all of BAPE’s stuff but I’ve got a ton of their early shoes, some newer ones, and some plain t shirts and stuff…..none of the candy cane looking recent garbage though….

  14. TokyoMike = I get ur point, but u gotta think about the quantity difference between bape products and footwears on eastbay…a huge gap

  15. woah whoever said bapes are over rated can take a straight razor to the head, the only shoes i wear are bapes forces and air jordans
