A Tribe Called Quest x Air Jordan 1 High Strap
Here we have our first look at what looks like an upcoming collabo between A Tribe Called Quest and Jordan Brand. As hard as this may be for you to digest this shouldn’t be that shocking seeing that A Tribe Called Quest had their own Puma Clyde, but the release was cancelled. According to the info provided, these Air Jordan 1 High Strap are called the “Sole to Sole” AJ1’s. Check out the pictures after the jump, and you’ll see why most people will call them A Tribe Called Quest AJ1’s even if that’s not the official name.
They are set to drop in February 2009 as a SUPER limited release. The ticket price will be $110 and Jordan Brand also made matching tees. We will keep you posted with more info, but in the meantime enjoy the pics. via (NT)

Interesting… I will hold on a comment until I see a real picture of the shoe.
Its hard to form an opinion with paper images of the kicks. But the concept seems ok nothing to0 ground breaking and the tees are kinda unique and interesting. But for now Ill give them a 6/10.
Maybe if I see a real picture, I can get a better idea. But right now, these are kind of blah.
I always liked ATCQ. Their is flavor unlike no other, thats whats missin in the rap game imo. Nowadays, its all bout: $,sex,weed,& violence. I see a lotta youngstas tryin to bring back the early 90
….w/the gold rope chains, door knockers earrings, cazal shades, & super tights jeans. Guess history repeats itself in a fashionable way. These AJ1s are fresh for that 90s look. Need better images.
HYPE!!!HYPE!!!HYPE!!!HYPE!!!See the problem is that these pics are making the rounds and people dont even see the kicks all they see is 24 pairs per door which will already be limited to QS and maybe urban accounts…So once you start doing the math thats like 12 to 14 pairs per size per area (6 QS x 2 pairs ((your size)) = 12 pairs) I guess im in NYC so I got a 1/12 shot of coping but I can see lil resellers lining up already….HYPE…HYPE…HYPE…HYPE…HYPE….
btw I’ve seen the kicks they are INCREDIBLE….cats will be calling them the GUCCI Jay 1 (which until the real story dropped) is what I thought they were….

TORONTO RICHMOND STREET DOSNT SELL VERY LIMITED JORDANS, THEY ALL BUY THE SHOES AND SELL THEM TO THERE FRIENDS, but if those F*^*^*&^ guys dont pull what they did with the titaniums, then ill line up for these IF the real pictures look better than this, right now its looking below average to me

Paper says it’s a Hi top but it’s cut at an angle like the last few mid cut Jordan I’s we’ve seen…..and yeah, it looks more like a Vandal than a J….but being a big fan of Jordan I’s, I’d cop if I got the chance…..feeling this 1000X more than ?uestlove’s ugly ass AF1….
