Adidas & Puma Tie Up Loose Ends

Athletic footwear and apparel company, Puma, has mended their family ties with Adidas; a relationship that has been frayed since the founders behind the companies began to be at odds some six decades ago. On Monday, The two organizations decided to kick the feud in a game of futbol in Herzogenaurach, Germany. The two firms came together in order to raise awarness worldwide for Peace One Day, a day of peace among opposing forces to be at ease if only for a days time.
Adidas CEO, Herbert Hainer said “that sport can bring the world together”, a true testement that exemplifies Monday’s competitive sporting event among the brands. The Dassler Sports Shoe Factory became two seperate brands after an unknown squabble between Rudolph who established Puma and Adolf who founded Adidas.
The fallout between the siblings ultimatley created an uprising of the two of the most powerful sneaker companies in the market today so its hard to imagine how the world would be if the incident never occured. Jochen Zeit said “[We at Puma] felt it was a great opportunity to raise even more awareness through this symbolic handshake between both companies” was reported by The Associated Press. Call it what you may but thats true brotherly love!

Tight! I always found the Dassler family story pretty cool. Even to the point that their division kinda divided Germany
^Yep, that was def odd how adidas and Puma started.
Good Shyt!
Good to see they’re finally coming together again. Maybe they’ll collaborate on some shoe technology in the near future.
good news eventho i only had one puma sneaker and couple of adidas in my life. Its good to see a family come together even after all this years and promoting great cause.
