adidas Superstar Run DMC 2011

Before celebrities were being sought out by footwear brands for endorsement deals, legendary rap group Run DMC co-signed the adidas Superstar back in the 80′s. The groups’ Raising Hell album spewed lyrical gold especially on the track, “My adidas” making the shelltoe iconic. To commemorate the songs debut, adidas will release a 25th anniversary Superstar paying homage to groups infamous masterpiece. Back in 2005, adidas did a music inspired collection that included a Superstar that was similar to the pair seen here and also a special limited edition pair dedicated to the late Jam Master Jay.
