December 5, 2012 | 7

Following the Air Jordan 1 “Neon Green” colorway shown earlier today is another AJ 1 in a Tar Heels-inspired colorway. This Air Jordan 1 Phat rocks a traditional UNC University Blue/White combination. The OG look is completed with a full leather upper.

This is a good substitute for those looking for a pair in the original silhouette. Stay tuned to TSG as the latest updates surfaces. Until then, enjoy the detailed images below.

These are nice. Can someone explain the “phat” part? ive never understood what that meant

^^^^@ty. Phat generally is in reference to the tongue of the shoe. The tongue is phat (more cushioned) than normal. Before it was found only in skate shoes due to the impact that the was caused due to the tricks and movements while skateboarding. It also served to prevent the tongue from irritating the top part of the foot due to the aforementioned.

The UNC colorway is always a good choice.

I wish these would have been the regular jordan 1 instead of the Phat jordan 1
