Air Jordan XI Concord – All Versions
December 23 is right around the corner, and the Air Jordan Retro 11 “Concord” is on a lot of wish lists for the Holiday season. There have been a ton of sample photos floating around the web, and now we have a few pics of all the released versions of this ever-so-popular colorway.
The original “Concord” Air Jordan 11 was released in 1995. Featuring an upper that contained Cordura mesh and patent leather, and a blue-tinted clear rubber sole, this shoe became an instant classic among shoe enthusiasts. The next release came 5 years later in the year 2000. It was close to original in resemblance, only missing the blue tint on the sole.
The next version was released in the Defining Moments Package in 2006, alongside an Air Jordan 6 Retro. Although the official colorway was not White/Black-Dark Concord, most people still referred to them as the DMP Concord 11. The gold hits on the shoe did not seem to anger fans of the 11, and the pack sold out very quickly.
This year’s release sees the return of the icy blue-tinted sole, and too many, happy days are here again. As you can tell from the photos, the height of the collar on the shoe has decreased dramatically over the years, but who’s complaining? Back then, the shoe had a purpose: to be worn on the basketball court. Nowadays, it’s more about fashion. How many of you are gonna cop to play ball in? Probably not many, but nonetheless, this will be a big time release.
