still not feelin em…especially since this vid made em look like bootleg XX2 5/8’s…….and another thing, “the quality’s alright..i wore them today and already got mad creases” something about that staement dont sound right.

Ether has a point. I new they reminded me of an older not as popular J. But XX2 5/8’s sounds right.
Uhm… I think the original concept of the shoe being fencing and making it look as clean as possible got lost along the way. The deconstruction of many material things is what is popular right now, and I would say it started with the IPod. In this case what made it so popular was that it was easy to use, aesthetically pleasing, and because it was superior to any predecessor. Therefore achieving the complex through an understanding that isn’t complicated has been its goal. And while I do believe this may have been the original goal of the AJ09, it just hasn’t met this criteria. The shoe looks really ugly and cheap, the blk and wht don’t compliment each other, the technology used in the shoe isn’t progressive, and from comments of creases it seems as if it’s another shoe that the designer has totally ignored the complaints of the consumer. As for growing on me? Well I would say no, mainly because it’s over priced but I would buy them on clearance.

I hate them, the inside angles are lame. Reminds me of those old Randy Moss Jordan shoes that had a pointy M on the side.

I started to like em’ and then saw this and rewound the clock a bit! The creasing on the inside of the big toe was major after just one wear. They look plain. Probably not fakes because patent (at least the white) isn’t the leather used… it’s a new “polishable” material if you watched the other vid’s with the designer. It’s more matte finish than patent but still shiny’ish.
Side note ~ If this dude respects Sneaks game so much he should really leave the vid reviews to him… or at least take some cue’s and be more informative about the shoe! It was a real lackluster review.
he must hav ben wearin his nba championship tied up tight, no way they would crease that bad on just one wear unless they wer strapped on tight! but theyr still aight to me, i wish they had a visible jumpman on the shoe…the jumpman makes shoes look better
The truth, i wore them once, however i did tie them very tight, maybe that is why they creased so bad.
what ever happened to that thing gentry was talking about in that interview last year for the xx3? remember he was saying that the retros were done but they would be doing special achievements, like the shoe he scored his 10,000th point that show would be released on that day? what happened to that? i could dig with that, these new j’s are just dookie
^^Retrosaurus, not all J’s got rope laces. I still think these are a no-go, and I love J’s…it breaks my heart to see this shoe.
i think its almost at that point that they should make a HUUUUUUGE change to retro jordans, so the old retros can be special, they took the nike off i think they should start thinking about it
JAIME, u should be happy to see these as jordans, if they keep thinking difrent and outside the box, imagine one day you will get some HEAT that wont look like your average shoe

im not sayin there fakes, fam. they look real deal to me. The bootleg xx2 5/8 comment was because I own the white/grey xx2 5/8’s with the chrome on the back, and aside from the sole and maybe one or two changes, ITS THE SAME SHOE, google it. i was also just sayin that for what theyre chargin you’d expect them NOT to crease after the first wear, after a few wears yeah, but not the first time even if theyre tied tight. As for the quality, hearin you say “its alright” made me believe that theyre as shitty in quality as the CDP’s. If they expect us to pay more than the xx3’s then the quality better be f*ckin “superb”. I know all shoes crease, its a fact, but I’ve rocked my xx3’s numerous times, tied tight, and have yet to see a crease like that shoe has. Basically you’d expect more with it being the so called “new beginning” of jb.
Basically, it looks as if you would be paying $190 for the shoes performance on the court, not for the looks. They’re not ugly…they just don’t look good, IMO. Like Ether stated, they sort of remind you of the XX2, and they crease up quickly, especially when I played basketball in mine. Overall, I can see people on Team Jordan rocking these in some pretty hot PE colorways.
I like how the bedsheets accommodate the ’09s.

Personally i was going 2 get these regardless buttt the video did make them see way worse not 2 mention fraudulent 2 a certain extent butt it will be a gametime decision

What else is there to expect from jordan brand as the air jordan collection progresses? I would rather wear Concord Six Rings or Cool Grey Spizike over these. Thats how bad that shoe looks..But you said they are lightweight so they’re probably great for ball. I dont like the creasage like that, especially on plain leather.
