I have a beater pair of 2000 retro Infrared’s for regular wear, I have my twice-worn 2000 retro Infrared’s put away, and I’m still gonna buy 2 pair of these to wear. These 6′s are my favorite shoe of all time. I just can’t get enough of them!!! good vid, Sneaker Dave…
@ BACKROAD….my friend told me there’s gonna be an Asia/International only release of a White/Infrared Jordan 6 this year….but I don’t know if it’s true yet….so hell, maybe they WILL bless us with a 6-Pack this year.

There was allot of love/hate going on with the infrared vs varsity red but from what I noticed from the comments it seemed to be more about the suede vs nubuck.
I would have rather had infrared because its a darker red than varsity red, but I think I would have to see it in person.

you cant have a crispy pair a jeans on a fresh crisp fitted and shirt and then some beat up creased crashed yellow kicks on… but if you aint goin anywhere important and just on some whatever shit i guess its okay to throw on a pair of beaters. i do know alot of people that like there high tops and jordan 1′s a little crashed for some reason.. never understood why though?

I’m mostly speaking of kicks that came out when I was a kid….80′s and 90′s…anyhow, FOR ME, the appeal of a sneaker that came out in ’89 is just that…..that’s a pretty long time ago, so the sneaker itself should reflect that…..a DS pair of sneakers that released in the late 80′s looks stupid to me because in my crazy skull, I remember em from back then…they should have been being worn the whole time…if it dropped in ’88, it’s from ’88 to me regardless of if we’re talking about a shoe that was made two seconds ago as a re-re-retro…..my True Blue 3′S, I wore em constantly just to get em to “look their age”….”YOU’RE FROM 1988 DAMN IT, NOW GET OUTSIDE, AND GET 15+ YEARS WORTH OF WEAR ON YOU!!!”….older kicks show their age beautifully, and I love it…..with newer models, sure, crispy is the way to go, but for me, when I grab a pair of Dunks, or SC’s, or Terminators, or especially Jordans…let’s say V’s, they usually have some yellowed nets on em, the laces are a bit frayed, and I’m just adding another page to their “book of life”…..and I enjoy em WAAAAAAY more than my other, virgin skinned kicks that have barely seen the light of day, let alone wind, rain, sleet, snow, Kodiak bear sh!t, etc……

I think the Infrareds are much better but I’m not gonna knock the Varisty Red Retros. They are pretty fresh and I am thinking about doubling up on them.
I think it’s pretty safe to say that I can walk into a footlocker on the 23rd and scoop a pair without a huge line. They do look nice but I’m still on the fence about them.

I never waivered on these… I’ve been queued up since the first mention. I actually bought a set of the original retro blk/infrareds for my girl (now wifey) and I and had to take my pair back for a refund.
Back then, I’d wear new J’s right out the door but I took these home asap. Sadly, the quality of materials and color blocking was atrocious. Horrible pair… The durabuck was paper thin and looked like pressurized plastic wrap on my foot despite fitting well. Broke my heart but hey, a fkd pair is a fkd pair.
The 2010 pair has suede that I’m hoping is on the DB level. The DB’s are the first retro Jordans to see near OG quality in a minute. In regards to the shade of red, it’s a dead issue. We’d rock the infrareds with varsity red accessories anyhow… meh..
