No sense in even watching the video….not gonna waste my time making comparisons anymore. If it’s nice, it’s gettin copped, plain and simple….and these fall into that category…..life’s too short to care about a shoebox saying “varsity” red instead of “infrared.”
My dude was told by some guy at a Nike store that they are coming out with a White/Infrared & Black/Infrared pack at the end of the year. How sick would that be? Definitely a rumor, so don’t get excited. Just sayin’…

but despite all the “hate” i had towards these over the last few weeks, the more i see videos of these the more i like them! some pics made the black suede look really ashy and funny looking… (wasnt feelin it at all)
but it looks real dark and clean in the videos.
to be honest 2 weeks ago i thought the infared upper material was 10x better than this suede on the 2010 ones, and after seeing so many comparisons i aint even gonna front , i actually like the darker black suede better now.
not to mention i got that 30$ footlocker gift card that must be used by jan31
so with all that said, i think im going to have to cop these!
i will be copping these, the black/white with speckles in spring, and those super fire CRAAACK detroit pistons patent leather lookin ones!
i like suede, but the only thing is that it gets messed up quicker, especially if it rains and they get wet, its a wrap!

Brinx , best advice for you is to wait and wear them in the summer or if your 110 % sure that it’s not going to rain that day.
Still on the hunt for a wearable og pair size 9 or 9.5, but I might cop these too. Idk, still up in the air on these.
So…. I walked into FLIGHTCLUBNY…. about 3 months ago to cop the MEDICINE BALLS…. while doing so, I see the INFRARED VIs and the OLYMPIC VIs in a glass case. Mind you, I really like the VI…. but next to them I see the RETROS that are going to drop in 2 wks or so and then I did some MATH in my head…

^’Yeah tru, but I still like that vintage look to the VI’s though..Only the VIs, everything else is CDPed for me..I like the icy soles on the varsity reds as well but like SneakGeekz said, “its a completely different shoe.” So I might as well get them for retail or less.
i never got a chance 2 copp the 2000′ infrareds i was only 11 plus i wore like a 5.5 then so even if i still had em they’d b beat to the ground not worshiped, secondly i cant complain when it comes to these Vars reds i hope i got the bred bred but if ot owell
these are way better than some damn spacejams. im definately getting these. would love to double up but i aint got the funds for that at the moment. can only buy 1 pair since jordan decided to realease heat this year and so did nike with shoes like the coppers. ugh they killin me! even when i win i lose ! ahhh!

This been a no brainer for me.. My all time Fav jordan is the VI!!! My first air jordan EVER was in 4th grade, the OG black/infrared VI!! Yall know how instantly you’re in love once you own your first pair of Jays as a kid.. Mines just happen to be the Infrared VI’s.. I been waiting for this moment for a while.. Oh did I say, I LOVE me sum VI’s; hands down!!!
And as far as these being better than spacejams!!! Ur crazy!

My man showed them to me today along with the Spizike Fresh Since ’85. Amazingly both shoes look great and the quality of both was on point. Will get both probably.

I do agree with that though, i would much rather have a brand new FRESH clean crispy FLY ass pair on my feet if im out in the public then some beat up old super piss yellow and cracking shoes. so what if there OG there old, beat up, yellow and cracked… if u got a pair of infareds cool, keep em in ya collection.
but i dunno some people like that beat up old vintage look.
i know some cats that would prefer a pair of dingy dusty beat up pair over a fresh pair actually. but not me, ima fly dude, and stay fresh and crisp everyday so once a pair gets beat up old and yellow they just sit as an addition to my collection that i keep. but like i said, everybody got they own thing.

These are clean just saw some n person the quality of the suede is a little rough but overall these are clean, as for the red it’s a little darker than the 2000′s but not enough to make a difference. These will be gone just like the space jams mybe not resell for as much but they will be gone, the VI’s are some of the most popular jordans beside the XI’s. I remeber how fast they went n 2000. I can understand why people have mixed feelings but the point is Nike will never make retros like the og’s they will always be a little different (even though I don’t agree) but it is what it is besides that didn’t stop anybody from copping the space jams cuz even though they look pretty close to the originals, but they r still different plus the quality is crap compared to the older ones but the sold out just the same, all I’m saying is don’t miss out on em cuz u want the OG colorway, it’s close enough. And u don’t want to be salty when u c everybody has em and they r sold out. Granted it will be pockets where they will be available but that’s probably somewhere n the booneys, if u live n any major metro area they will be gone. Even those trash infrared VI fusion forces moved out of stores and they were terrible. Just remember, Jordans have a wide age group in terms of popularity some numbers are loved more than others but u can bet that everyone loves VI’s.
And for those in the post about the IX’s sept release is def the charcoals and not the olives just look at the colors.
Everyone wants to complain about the shade of red, damn just get over it! If you don’t like ‘em stop complaining & don’t get them!
Leave more pairs for me, & others who really do like these.
All ya’ do is find something to complain about & when there’s nothing new to complain about ya’ go back to that same redudant stuff “oh where’s the nike air” & “why is there a jumpman”!? Damn just stop already!

APART FROM MAYBE AF1′S WHICH LOOK LIKE A$$ WHEN THEY AGE, TO ME, MOST OF THE SHOES I REALLY LIKE (JORDAN 1′s, DUNK HI’s, TERMINATORS, ETC) ALL LOOK BETTER WITH SOME WEAR AND TEAR ON EM.
