just got back from the mall and these shoes just seem extra trashy to me. the blue cement on the magic cw looks like it was aplied by a kid that can’t color between the lines….they shoulda stuck with the sample version….the raptors cw is nice, but these shoes just look and feel like cheaply made knock-offs. PASS!

I’m 34 years old. In 1985 when OG Jordan 1′s dropped, I was at Sanborn Sports in NY trying to buy them for back to school kicks and having my mother yell at me because $65 was too expensive for us. In 88 when the OG 3′s hit, I was lucky enough to be able to walk into the mall and grab em for under $100….walk into the store without stepping on the shoes of 300 hypebeast campout kids who drove the prices up to triple retail just from dickriding a retro they didn’t live to see when it was an OG….see where this is going?…..I’m not a “retro” collector…..I’m not a RE-retro collector….I didn’t hear Nelly “sing” about AF1′s and then start dickriding sneakers……I’ve got kicks in my collection from as far back as 1983….maybe even older….. So, NO, I’m NOT A YOUNG DUDE LOL…..
I LIVED thru Jordan’s career……LIVED THRU ALL OF IT…..watching it on TV, NOT ON YOUTUBE….. go on the Community and look at my pics of the OG Air Ships I own that MJ wore his rookie year….when the BLK/GREY 1′s hit, go on the Community and check out the pics of the OG’s I have from 1986…..nuff said about that…… Do I respect all of Jordan’s legacy and all that….of course….but as far as a sneaker….like DJCK says, it’s just rubber and leather….if I like it, I buy it, no questions asked….if I don’t like it, I don’t care if Jesus Chris rocked it while having a break dancing battle with Satan, I’m gonna say I don’t like it and I’m gonna leave it in the store so someone who DOES like it can grab em and enjoy em.
I LOVE Jordan 2′s….the most hated Jordan of them all as far as early numbered series….but I love em……when OG Carmine 6′s dropped, I hated them….when they retro’d em, I still didn’t like em. Same with the 7′s. Bordeaux’s, Raptors, I don’t give a f*** which ones, I don’t like 7′s. I don’t like 11′s either….there are people out there who simply don’t like some of the super popular kicks, and I’m one of em. With the 7′s, I don’t like how the uppers leather panels/strips are thin and even though there’s different layers of leather on the upper, it looks like a big ass elf boot…I don’t like how the Jordan Logo on the upper heel is canted….make’s it look like the Logo is ice skating, not balling…..again, my opinion…..If you like em, fine, buy em, wear em til the soles fall off, and enjoy em….I’m glad they retro’d em cuz ALOT of people DO like em, and I really hope you young dudes who have to save up money to get shoes do get your hands on these…..but, I personally hate these. As far as my True Flight comparison, again, it’s my opinion….if people only came on here and said “I like these.” or “I don’t like these” then comment sections would suck ass. I like to stir it up and get people talking……if you read TSG alot, then you know TokyoMike and what I’m about…..if you’re new to TSG, then give it a week…you’ll see what I’m about…..I’ll always say something to get people talking…..and again, I’m not trying to come at y’all like a jackass….just letting you know what’s up. As I read all these comments I was SMH but laughing at the same time…. because I knew it was coming…. I came to this website and looked on for 2 months before I said a word…. I know who the real sneakerheads are and who the phony cats are and who the hypebeasts are….TOKYOMIKE thanks once again for setting these young whipper snappers straight… they think because they watch youtube and espn classic and read some throwback magazines and google air jordans on the internet that they know something… I can do all of that on the Vietnam War but I can’t say anything to anyone that was actually there… YOU YOUNG CATS SHOULD HUMBLE OUT AND STRAIGHT UP APOLOGIZE….. any sneaker head over the age of 30 is to be respected… we watched this shoe game turn into the HYPE MACHINE that it is today and we, yes I said we..(34yrs young as well) laugh… Everyone has their own opinion and this is what I hate more than anything with some of you bloggers… you guys trash people who like fusions or don’t like the hyped up Js and it’s foolish and ignorant on so many levels… I really don’t care for a couple of the jordan series myself… shoot, my favorite J is the 8 and I have a special place in my heart for the 6 & 7.. because that’s what I rocked when I played ball in HS (believe it or not people actually balled in Js back then), in my case I wasn’t able to buy J’s until those came out. When this whole retro thing went down in the early 2000s.. I had stopped buying kicks until I saw the infrareds 6s come out. I went to Footlocker a wk after they released and they laughed at me… sold out in 3hrs…. I was like.. since when does a J sell out… I have copped the red/wht 12s, the 10s with the toe cap, the stealth 13s and plenty other Js on sales racks. Now to find a pair of 6s you have to dish out $600 or more.. to each their own.. I just can’t do it but I love the month of January 2010… for I will be able to re-live my teenage yrs once again for $150 or less. I like to begin by saying I was not bashing on anyone, especially to the great TokyoMike. I should’ve known that you are in Tokyo.
But in your first statement, to me it sounded immature when you said that you didn’t care about the history of Jordans and that you only like them if they look good. That was not a “bash”. I am like you, TokyoMike, am in my 30s, 36 to be exact. You and I share one common experience. In High School, I too, could not afford Air Jordans. My Mom would whip me if she knew I spend $100.00 on shoes, let alone sneakers. My 1st shoe was the OG cement 4. I was wearing them and balling in them. I didn’t buy every J cuz, like I said, they were too expensive. But to clear some misunderstandings, someone said you were being bashed, if you truly think it was me, that you’re silly for listening to other peeps here. I like that fact that you like to stir things up here. Me too, otherwise it would be boring. I laughed at first when I read your long ass comment…, you sounded pissed off. So, I will stir things up too, just don’t called it bashing. I don’t think JayFather was bashing either. As for o.s.t., I think you started this all thing by gettin the impression that TMike was being bashed, and that he was being f***** with. I was not frontin’, I asked if TokyoMike was a young cat cuz of his statement of not caring for a shoe’s history. He’s clearly not the young cat that I thought, in fact I respect his long ass comment up there, and I was too a young jordan fan myself but was whipped by Moms if she knew I spent $100.00 on sneakers. well got my pairs yesterday… the quality on them is awesome, and I love how Jordans are getting that old familiar (toxic) new shoe smell again. The Orlando CW is especially nice because I have an old Champion Hardaway jersey (from high school) that they match with; which I finally fit into because I’ve been running all summer long.
Man went to niketown an footlocker every size still available. I can just wait get both for $240 or less on a 30% off.

TSG rocks, Just reading the comment section made my day to see how involved peeps really are into kicks. To be honest I think we’re all crazy to love shoes this much but what can I say, we do what we like, human nature.
