Atari Nike Blazer High

Some people are too young to remember Atari. Before Nintendo, Sega, Sega Genesis, TurboGrafx 16, and Neo Geo it was Atari. Nike wasn’t so popular when Atari released their third version video game unit. It’s funny how things change because now Nike is doing it B-I-G.

Today we take a look at a new Blazer High drop that was inspired by the 1980’s Atari game unit. As you can see the midsole features woodgrain detailing as well as the toe box and heel tab. When you think about it these do favor the Atari’s 1980/1981 make up. Thanks to Proper for the image and the Atari Blazers are now available at a Nike retailer near you.

All this talk about Atari brings back memories. Centipede anyone???????

    The atari console that the shoe is crafted from is the atari 2600. I ll have to check but I am sure I still have my 2600 as well as the turbo grafx 16. Those were the days!

    I had 1 back in ‘86 w/Pole Position. Me & my big brotha walked 2 miles (in my Pro Wings) in the pourin rain to Toy R Us. It wuz cheap, Nintendo wuz sold out like tickle me elmos. These blazers are sick same goes AF2.

    Yo, I had that ol’skool Atari. I remember the bball game on there. It was crazy flat…lol..no curves at all. Still a classic. Damn, I wish I still had that. Thanks for bring back the memories yo. Fo real!….oh the kick are coo too..lol
