Vans pays tribute to one of the most popular American hardcore punk bands to date – Bad Brains. They designed three sneakers (Sk8 Hi, 46 LE, and Chukka) that are packed with Bad Brains inspiration. Bad Brains was originally a jazz fusion ensemble in Washington, D.C. in 1977 before taking over the world of punk rock. Their music had a major impact on the 80′s skate culture, which explains their collabo with Vans.
Bad Brains is well known for their fast, intense punk rock, but did you know that Bad Brains is also an adept reggae band? The rasta vibe should make sense now. All three sneakers are now available as well as three tees. Check with your Vans retailers for availability.

Being from the DC area and remembering Bad Brains very well in their heyday, I was kinda amped about the highs. Now that I see the lows and the tees, amped even more. Checked my local Vans spot today with the wife and they didn’t have ‘em though.
