Bow must be reading blogs and message boards because he’s finally getting the point of not talkin’ too much shit. Now I’ll admit that I’m not a fan of Starbury sneakers, but I do like the fact that Bow is encouraging sneaker fans to submit ideas to him. Heck all of us have ideas as far as how we would like a sneaker to look like; that isn’t necessarily bound to just being Nike brand. In fact if he made it possible to submit ideas through e-mail and such (instead of phone) I would be enticed to send ideas. As far as saying your shoes are better than Nike’s because you don’t charge the same amount of money they do is good and all, but still means very little to me. In fact I’m not so much against the over-priced shoes that Nike releases but the fact that many of their shoes are created in sweat shops. And while I know I’m a huge hypocrite for saying that and still buying, I would also like the situation to change for the people working in sweat shops in less developed nations. I don’t know… maybe just opening up a sneaker factory in North America would do better for the community in need than just selling them “quality” cheap kicks.

as much as i dont like bow wow’s music or “style” i can’t hate what he’s trying to do. atleast he gets an opportunity to try and get a sneaker out that we can influence with our own ideas (not that i would). but damn u can tell he’s trying. as long as bow wow is being original and doing what he does i cant really hate him for that. glad to hear bow wow trying to give back to the community and charity.
After seeing this video, I have a little more respect the kid (his music still sucks). Pointless video blogs about his sneaker battle(s) with JD and Marcus Jordan really had me thinking Bow Wow was as silly as he appears to be in his music. But him being an advocate for his community and wanting do even more for it and the people, he deserves nothing but respect. I haven’t even seen a Starbury sneaker up-close but they sound like they’re quality sneakers. Minus Starbury being the biggest flake and flop in the NBA, the sneakers do him some justice. Great blog Bow Wow. Stay away from the silliness that is JD and Marcus Jordan… and I didn’t even know you had beef w/ Soulja Boy. Did you realize what a complete waste of time that was, or what? I could care less about that starberry crap. I’d rather wear shoes from walmart or payless before I support a brand from a player like Stephon Marberry who ruins any NBA teams chance at success every time he gets traded to a new team. He’s not a winner

2. He is with Starbury because JB wouldn’t give him a line.
3. If JB gave him a line, Bow wow would not have the freedom to do what he wants with it.
4. A rapper with no talent can’t sell BBall sneakers.
5. Marbury is exiled from the Knicks, so until he gets traded or released, he’s not going to be playing.
6. A player who is not playing can’t sell BBall sneakers.
