I am SO SICK of hearing people whine about how many blah blah blah colorways of the AM Lebron VII are released. Most of the haters… hate his game and can’t sensibly evaluate his kicks because their lame bias gets in the way of a well formed opinion. Others are so stuck on the teet of Jordan that they somehow think Nike is trying to re-create history and therefore bash any other sig shoe ever released. If you’re in either camp… behold the sickest modern drop (non-retro) of 2010 from Nike… the Air Max Lebron VII DUNKMAN!

I agree with what he said about people being so far up Jordan’s ass they can’t even like anything else. It’s ridiculous. I don’t like this shoe. But that’s because I’ve physically had them ON MY FEET, and they feel awful to me. If I wanted a flimsy shoe to wear, I would just make my own out of dental floss, and electrical tape. It wouldn’t cost 160 bucks either.

I like this shoe soley for the colorway. This contrast looks good with a lot stuff, clothes, shoes etc. If I get info on when and where they droppin I’ll get em.
Well put 4DRUMZ I get kinda annoyed or tired of the plentyful colorways but I cant fake on the fact i got the red carpets love em to death and he is right on the money with people not seeing past jordans. I passed on this colorway like ive said before got my uptempos no need to go out the way for em but i saw in DTLR and they looked nice second best colorway tho lol
The Lebron 7 is a nice shoe but 24 plus (and counting) clorways is far too many to justify for any sneaker. Especially at $160 and sometimes $180 plus dollars. All the best shoes in this series are all the ones “without” the flywire (in my humble opinion).

Nice rundown 4DRUMZ, but alas I am still a hater of the shoe. I can’t stand the toebox of it, so when I wore them(tried them on, first release, red carpets, and dunkmans) the toe box was looking pretty bad to me. Almost as bad as the 11′s toe box, so these will never do it for me.
Just got mine for $130 these sneakers are something else in person a must get
^Damn you lucky, I paid $180 from my friend who got them for me..This shoe is one of the top 3 of 2010 (remember just an opinion) str8 FIYAHH!
I don’t get why this shoe as well as the red carpets are viewed so highly over other colorways if it weren’t for the dunkman I think these would be jus another one of many…
I prefer the cool grey/neon CW they normally do the dunkman’s in. I’ll admit the Lebron VII is one of the better if not the best shoe in the Series. I’ve still never purchased one pair of Lebrons in my life. at any given time there has always been something else available that was more worthy of my money. I’ve had a similar experience with AM97′s I love them, but can’t bring myself to spend that kind of money on them.

as far as 2010 goes…. and as far as a non-retro shoe…. YES…. but like I said… you put neon/volt green on any shoe and it usually does well… UPTEMPOS (which I am a fan of and will get very soon) AM95s…. (don’t need to explain) even the GRIFFEY with the VOLT….. THOSE ARE ALL BIG TIME SELLERS….. the shoe is nice but we’ve seen it before. The SOLE is the SELLER for me… I am a sucker for ICY soles but I have a SENTIMENTAL ATTACHMENT TO THE UPTEMPOS, therefore, I am getting the OL’ School… no need for me to get two shoes with the exact same color scheme. That is probably the only reason why I wouldn’t get these. The LEBRON VII is by far his best as far as looks go.

that christ is king colorway is fire though! if those drop retail I’ll try them on and it might change my mind of this shoe (only other colorway I was feeling is the ASG)
I will get these….I disagreed with them voting these the “Sneaker of the Year” for 2009, but in hindsight, these are a very well thought out sneaker….and this colorway would look good on a KKK BBQ flyer, let alone a sneaker lol….
4DRUMZ nicely done but for me Ill pass because these aren’t that special to me imo and I’m not hatn but the truth there are just way to many colors to be unique because everywhere you go stores have 3 to 5 colorways on the shelf at all times therefore its extremely played out just like the AJ1s although I did copp the annivesary 1s but just for the case) and just to add why does eveyone get upset about peoples opinions b

@Carter ~ You may or may not have read my comment on the blog but the black/green-spark 1/2′s were my fall back if I couldn’t get these. That’s a sick shoe… looks good and carries over the CW very well! FYI… I was a 12 in the 1/2 cent so it runs a little small probably due to the thicker nature of the foamposite material.

This is my first lebron and im lovin it i feel its gonna be one of the top releases this year
Man, I love this shoe and wish I could have bought it. Money is too tight right now after buying a new crib. Hope to grab these down the line after I knock out all the home improvements and stack up a little.

i’m an old sneakerhead grew up in the classic years of jordan/nike and this shoe, the lebron 7, is truly the hardest release in years. the gray pack to me is wack, but other than that the shoe is simply iconic and this dunkman CW is super dope.

man i’ma tell you guys first hand i’m big on jordans but hey give credit when it’s due i copped a pair of dunkmans this past weekend for retail all i’ma say is money well spent. don’t hesitate just purchase em man besides they’ll probably be looked at as holy grails years from now.

These are near the bottom of my list of LeBron 7′s that released.
I agree with Converse King, I tried them on and don’t think it is a quality shoe, especially for $160, to me they fit just like the Nike Hyperize, which were banned by the Piston’s trainer because there were so many ankle sprains in them because of the lack of ankle support, They are not a good ball shoe & I don’t like the look, and I don’t see many NBA players rocking them in games, I’LL STICK WITH MY KOBE V’S, THE BEST BALL SHOE EVER!!! AND I LOVE THE LOOK!!!! BTW LEBRON IS CHANGING HIS NUMBER TO 6, EFFECTIVE STARTING NEXT SEASON

Liking the shoe, but the only problem I have with these is would I rock em’ in my 40′s? A great shoe should be a timeless one.
Just got mine this morning at Athlete’s Foot in Cumberland Mall. At first I was gonna pass, but I seen them shits in person and I had to get me a pair. My first pair of Lebron’s. I am not disappointed at the quality of the shoe at all. Plus they are super comfortable. I would have got a second pair but waiting on the eggplants. A must cop

The Dunkman was one of the best colorways Nike has ever put together. The II and III: best LeBrons ever made!
These aren’t dunkman’s. Not that they’re ugly shoes by any means, but in the real dunkman CW they would have been stupid smooth.
Grey / White / Green = Dunkman

@Cleveland222 – I’ll give you that man… holding to the OG DUNKMAN CW is just fine if you’ve been following it since the beginning and I would say that the ZL II DUNKMAN is my all-time fav of the classic gun metal grey color combination. I hope you had a chance to read the Jason Petrie article. For whatever reason he and Lebron decided to move the shoe this direction. As far as they’re concerned… it’s the DUNKMAN and supposedly there’s a story behind it. I just haven’t run across that yet but Petrie says there is… maybe with the official release that will leak as well!?!? Who knows… a DUNKMAN VII alternate with the classic colors just may be floating around???
