Christian Hosoi x Vans – Series 2

It’s not quite Spring yet, but the second series of the Christian Hosoi and Vans pack has started to release. We reported on round two of this collabo last August, and another Hosoi Vans update was posted in November. Full details are now available thanks to Hawaii’s own In4mation.

This time around Vans created a Hosoi Sk8 Hi, Era, and Classic Slip-On. The sun is not visible like the previous Hosoi Sk8 Hi, but instead they just used sun rays. The first series was a hit, so the buzz will more than likely be the same for the second series. Check with your local Vans retailers for more info.

Vans will release another Sk8-Hi that will pay homeage to 80’s OG skater Christian Hosoi. Christian is a legend in the skate community and is well known by many skaters. During his career he was introduced to drugs and he was later charged for trafficking with the intent to distribute. While serving his sentence he recieved salvation (declaring Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior), and changed his life. He now runs Hosoi Skateboards and the legendary mark he made in the world of skateboarding is still highly respected to this day.

Many of you may remember the first Hosoi Sk8-Hi’s Vans made, and it’s a very sought after Sk8-Hi. If you’re still confused Kanye West was seen in a pair a while back. They favor the second edition with the rising sun theme, and some people even call them Japan or Tokyo Vans. Nonetheless here’s a very early look at the Hosoi Sk8-Hi’s, and according to the info provided they will release Spring 2008. I’m sure many people are excited about this Hosoi Sk8-Hi 2 news.
