Converse All Star Quilted Hi Purple
G-Roc | August 21, 2009 | Comments (4)

A gang of Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars received quilted treatment, and we’ve been giving you the play-by-play on the new releases. We reported on the blue quilted Chucks the other day, and today we present the purple version. Just like the other quilted Chucks, the purple color features a full quilted upper. Instead of using a white toe cap/midsole, Converse hooked the purple quilted All Stars up with a black toe cap/midsole.
Be mindful that purple represents royalty, so watch your mouth in the comments. You can find the Quilted Converse Chuck Taylor Collection exclusively at Finishline right now for $59.99. More pics after the jump.

This is actually kind of funny because I bought some purple chucks yesterday (oxfords, not hi’s). The shoe itself is not bad looking, but the thing about these is they’re a special edition. Any time Converse does a special edition colorway or pattern for Chuck Taylors, they do not do half sizes. I wear a 9.5 in Chuck Hi’s and a 9 in the oxfords. So I had to get the low purples when I really would rather have gotten the Hi ones.
Time for me to school you all on something, too. The reason that purple represents royalty is that it was the most expensive color dye to make during the middle ages, and the renaissance. So if you wore purple back then, it meant you were very wealthy and of noble upbringing, or even royalty.
damn ck thanks for that bro! real talk i didnt know that, i knew that purple was royalty but that was all. everything else was something i never heard before but you know these shoes would have gone harder without the quilted ishh on em
