Converse Leather Jacket Chuck Taylor

The Converse (PRODUCT)RED campaign just unveiled the leather jacket Chuck Taylor, which will make its debut on World AIDS Day, December 1st at The (RED) store locations in New York, San Francisco, and London. This unique Chuck Taylor addition is made up of red motorcycle leather patchwork, quilted lining, and zippers. The shoes will also be available on Converse.com, and at select retailers around the globe for $200 in unisex sizes.

Ten percent of the net wholesale price of the shoe will go to The Global Fund help eliminate AIDS in Africa, giving consumers an opportunity to become agents of change. The overall goal is to raise overall awareness of the issue and generate money to support Global Fund financed AIDS grants in Africa, the region hardest hit with this pandemic. To date, (RED) partners, including Converse, have generated more than $135 million for the Global Fund and this money has supported programs that have reached more than four million people affected by HIV in Africa. via Hypebeast
