Converse Weapon EVO

Converse Weapon EVO

The Weapon EVO is a high performance sneaker evolved from the original Weapon, which debuted in 1986 and quickly became an immediate on-court favorite. Worn by two of the game’s biggest rivals as their “Weapon of Choice”, the sneaker challenged its competition to secure its legacy in sport and culture. You may know this, or you may not. But it’s true, and all the stuff the Weapon stood for then has gone into the EVO, along with what it means to play the game today.

The Converse EVO is now available at Converse retailers for $90.

I copped the Celtics colorway yesterday when they appeared on Finishline.com. The Lakers colorway is available as well. I’m very excited about these, because Converse had been doing a lot of skate shoes lately, and hadn’t really made a memorable new basketball shoe in at least a few years. But I really like what they did with these.

Ok… Balls technology? Seriously? Why not “Ballin” technology or “sphere” technology. Worst cushioning system name ever.

Then, right after Wade moves to Jordan shoes, they launch two shoes with his name on them?

Shoes look dope, but their brand still needs help.

The video is actually from before Wade left Converse, so that explains why they’re still calling those other shoes “Wade”.

  6. Yeah, the video was recored before Wade left Converse.

Converse should have a new ad campaign “You’re gonna love my balls…technology.”
