Custom Nike Foamposite Air Force 1
When Nike Sportswear announced that a Foamposite Air Force 1 was going to release, most of us assumed the Foamposite Air Force 1 would mimic the design of the Air Foamposite but the Foam AF1′s were groove-less. For OG sneaker customizer, emmanuelabor, he wasn’t pleased with the released version of the Foamposite Air Force 1, so he decided to make his own rendition.

Ive been wanting to do somethin like this for ages. Im sure you’ve seen Nike’s rendition which is cool, but smoothed out foam does nothing for me…I felt like the grooves were an essential part of the look, and I wanted to capture that. After alot of figuring and testing, I got something I liked and here it is:
You are now looking at his finished Foam AF1, which plays off the popular Eggplant colorway. Do you think Nike should have released the Foam AF1 with grooves or do you like the smooth version? Share your thoughts.

I’m a fan of alot of eL’s work, but these are horrible. it looks really thrown together almost as if he didn’t really put much effort into these at all. It’s obviously better then I could do myself, but still not up to par with his past customs.
Personally eye think these are a bad idea….but eye’m sure somewhere there is someone will dig these. *shrugs*
Looks like a child made this out of clay and gave it to his father for his birthday. I think the foamposite form shouldn’t be applied to this shoe at all. But the grooveless version works better, maybe if Nike had done this themselves it would’ve looked better.

although harsh, I appreciate the input. Im very happy with the results, but maybe its just me. They definitely werent rushed or half-assed, but bottom line is theyre not popular amongst you all, and I can accept that. Thanks for takin the time to check them out though

This is honestly the worst possible fusion of both shoes possible lol this looks HORRIBLE….NIKE did a great job with the shoe that was actually realesed maybe the color wasn’t all that but it looked 1 million times better than this trash!!!

@ E.Labor dude I can’t bash on sumone who took the time to create… I know how tuff it is to take apart n stich back together a pair of kicks and I think you did an alright job it definatly looks customed but overall c+/ b- work… However had Nike actually did what you did I think the af foam would have been a bigger succses than what they are so overall good job on originality!!!
I have to dismiss this one.
In that last shot the actually looks pretty hard, but in the other shots, it doesn’t look like grooves, it looks like wrinkles from the material being pulled too tight. I believe if he were to try again he’d nail it.

I get why he design these like this – but the execution is off. Either go big or fall flat and he fell flat but tried to act as if the grooves are the same in the foamposite 1 – NOPE! FAIL!
