De La Soul Nike Dunk SB Low – 2009 Release
De La Soul just leaked some info in a recent interview about their 2009 project with Nike. They never said if the project was with Nike SB, but we all assumed that seeing that the two linked up back in 2005. NSB reports that this metallic silver Dunk Low is based off of their 2001 AOI: Bionix album cover. The cover features all three members dressed in silver astronaut suits, and the Dunks resemble the suits due to the use of metallic silver.
According to the info provided, these were originally set to release in 2006, but they scrapped and are “rumored” to drop in ‘09. This makes perfect sense, but time will tell everything. Stay tuned to TSG for more updates on this release.

when u compare these to the original de la soul dunks, NO CONTEST! these are okay. not my cup of tea though. a 6 in my book. they could have done better

Im disapointed to say the lease. These look like what everybody else is doing. I mean you have the supra skytops, air max 1’s gold and silver pack, a gold dunk that was in the japan city pack,and the womens gold and silver vandals. Thats all I can think of right now but, what Im trying to say is since last time they came with such origianlity these were a major LET DOWN!

I don’t know whether to be severely disappointed about this lackluster effort from the legends OR if I should be relieved that I won’t be tempted to pay an outrageous re-sale price to get these!
Pass these are not SB material just like those Tokyo mids.
Major let down. I expected and wanted more from these, but I’d cop em anyway to complete my set.
They are okay but the reality is your getting those Silver Journey Dunk Lows with extra padding and fat laces for more then likely triple the price…Those Silver Journey Lows are still very much available…

Wow I’m def dissappointed. I was hopeing these wuld be better. Plus I’ve seen enough silver shoes recently.
Kinda hard for them to actually TOP their first joints….the Hi’s are in a world of their own. That being said, these are cool…flip the laces every time you wear em and you’d be good to go.

they are straight, def gonna get that hype, im really surprised at how many people are hatin on em, when in reality most people were lookin at the dino jr. kinda funny, and then as soon as the price inflated people lost their minds over them. these are simple and clean, def is a old concept, saw some pics on solepedia a minute ago, ps that album was tight, de la soul forever…

This is the best that De La Soul and Nike can come up with. These look like any other shoe in any other metal pack. At least make them high tops. At least use the other colors and graphics on the album cover.

this was the original shoe before they switched it to the ones that came out in 05. they had these on behindthesneakers.com back before the Oompa Loompas came out.
