Doernbecher Air Jordan VI – Any Luck?
Today is Nike Doernbecher Day, as in the official release day of Nike’s Doernbecher Freestyle 6 charity sneaker collection. The 2009 collection is made up of 6 uniquely designed sneakers, but the most popular shoe since 2007 has been the Doernbecher Freestyle “Air Jordan” model.
Congrats if you were able to score a pair of Doernbecher 6′s early on Nike.com or this morning, but do you even know the name of the child that designed them? Come on, in all of your getting, get understanding (Proverbs 4:7). In case you only bought into the hype, and didn’t take the time out to educate yourself about the Doernbecher Jordan VI, the kicks were designed by Jordan Dark. Although the kicks are highly sought after, keep in mind that all profits help raise money for the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation. It’s all about the kids!

I wanted to get them online the night before, but i was reloading the wrong pages!
I had to wake up around 7 to make it to the niketown door by 9, which i didn’t want to do, and noticed that there was no line or crowd and people were coming down the streets with shoes already!!
I didn’t know that the pacquiao’s were releasing the same day and that niketown was opening early for that. I also didn’t know, what time niketown opened cause the website wouldn’t load the niketown locations link so i couldn’t get the official hours of operation. Also, people were allowed to buy the VI’s early if they wanted. When i got there, they closed up shop at 9 to open again at 10. So, i waited patiently with a few other guys.
I got them, just like the first jordan DB II’s i own, under the radar charity jordan’s are some of the best color ways, materials, quality retros ever!
