| October 10, 2008 | Comments (15)

Last Friday we decided to give our readers a detailed look at the kicks from the 2008 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection. Today we take a look at the Air Zoom Vomero+ 3 that was designed by 16 year old Staci Wright. Her health issue was Cancer, and the Zoom Vomero+ 3 is loaded with colorful symbols of Staci’s triumph over disease. At the Charity Auction two pairs of her custom designed kicks sold for $20,000 each. These will be available on November 14th for $125. Check out the other pics after the jump…

Big ups to xxcoreyxx for the pricing info!

Solid. Very unorthodox, but appealing @ the sametime. Interesting to see the imagination from kids this day & age.

i know the whole doernbechr thing is for a good cause, which i can definitely respect, and i know that the kids are designing the shoes the way they like them, but c’mon, some of these shoes are a tad bit terrible. why do they just let the kids make THEIR OWN shoe, as in 1 single pair made just for them, a 1 of 1, and then release something with an actually nice design so that people will actually like the shoes they are buying, along with it going to a good cause, insted of most of the people who buy them simply because they are limited. hype

^i meant^ why DONT they just let the kids make THEIR OWN shoe

these look like the type of shoes a 4th grader’s mom would wear, but they’re really cool.
