VERY SMART MARKETING. Nike is grooming the public for their next big star’s shoe debut. Did everybody forget back in the 03-04 season when Kobe was rockin’ Jordans?? Wade’s campaigning the same way except Nike is doing it FOR him. It would surprise me if his own shoe WASN’T being designed and sampled as we speak. And with Kobe, Lebron, and Dwayne Wade being the top 3 elite players in the league all signed with NIKE, the only player left on that list without a hot shoe is Dwayne Wade. Kobe IV killed it last year. Lebron VII looks promising if they get the colorways and materials on point…and the Wade is the next one up…at least that would make sense to me

What Jordan should do is make an entirely new shoe upper for Wade, and stick it on the Converse Wade 4 sole. Then laugh about it behind his back, when he actually likes them.

Eventually he’ll get at least one (but from what I’ve seen of Nike it will be more like 3 to 7 shoes). It’s pretty much inevitable. It seems that if a player signs a deal with any sneaker corporation, they’re bound to make them a shoe sooner or later. Sneakerheads don’t always want the latest thing, and prefer retros. But there will always be a number of fans of any particular player who would at least think about buying the shoe because he wears it. But judging from what Jordan is doing lately (2009′s, 2010′s). It will probably be ugly.
