G-roc, are officially co-signing this? Is the spot gonna be worth my time. There’s a few new spots in the A’ that ain’t worth the time. I hope this one is.
Not trying to ruffle feathers and I get this is not just going to be a sneaker boutique but is this what “buying sneakers” has become? More attention paid to the decor than sneakers? I can recall going to busted hole in the wall spots back in the day but coming out with tons of sort after kicks. Now a days go into some of these “so-called” boutiques in ATL and I feel like should be wearing a damn tuxedo and they may have only 6 or 7 pair of sneakers to begin with, so guess if the lightning hits them or they are position by some art-deco piece it makes the shoe a must-have?, lovely I degress.
Don’t know why but that tuxedo reference made ‘LOL’, but I agree with you Vegas. especially since the decor usually tend to rub off on the employees which can make shopping a somewhat unpleasant experience (looking at you WISH). But I’m hoping this isn’t the case and the people at Epitome are coo, cuz like gervman said, I need another alternative to Wish
@gervmanjr and @WilFaReal I agree on the Wish thing. Last time I was there in the sneaker area dude didn’t even say Hey can I help you find something and when I did find a shoe I liked I had to go up to him to ask for my size while he was sitting texting, web browsing or whatever on his phone. Hope this new boutique will have a sneaker selection for women and better customer service.
As far as the layout goes I think the shop looks nice. All the extra details may not be necessary but I think it adds a nice feel to your shopping experience. The most important thing is that the product/inventory reflects the store’s atmosphere.
@Laced&Lovely I agree to an extent that it helps the shopping experience but the few I have visited here in ATL could use a bigger variety of shoes and less fancy lightning, art, etc. Maybe just an old school hang up I have.
i have to agree with all of what is said… i’ve been missing from this whole sneaker business for a while, but it’s partly to do with the fact that i’ve seen all of the stores that were worth a damn fail… not just content wise, but just being open and helpful with the customer… classic soles, rare footage (although shady sometimes), prestigious, and even laced up (despite the ridiculous prices) were all full of people willing to help you find what you needed… stores that were so much about the look (some went further than others) were more about the product… but, i guess these shops are gone for a reason… #shrugs
looks like a dope spot…im not at all familiar with A town but if looks like its in a nice area so they have to match the area in a sense on how the store looks to the surrounding area. If you all have notice these shops are starting to locate themselves in very wealthy areas so they have to have that image to them that also goes along with the area…thats just my 2 cents but i completely agree with the comments about the look…MOST IMPORTANT THING IN RETAIL IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!
some spots cannot get stuff they know the customer wants…but if the ppl working there are friendly and catch ur interest and help u to the best of their abilities thats what makes ppl come back…learned that from Bistro and MT…
TSG Folk…I feel you, there are a couple of spots in the A that feel a little bougie but I always figured boutiques were supposed to be like that. Shucks some of the whole in the wall spots could be little friendlier..coughWALTERScough.
The coolest spots in town are the skate shops like RUIN, they will chop it up with you in a minute. In terms of WISH, they seem to always be ok or maybe it is the pitcher of beer I have at Front Page News before I hit the spot.
As far as Epitome, I really wish them the best. Their location should be first of many high end shops for the “Rodeo Drive of the South” concept the city is moving on.
With ATL being named one of the worst dressed places by GQ this month, we need all the style we can get. Size XXXXXXXXL White T-Shirts from the T-Shirt Van on MLK does not cut it.
I think what Atlanta is really missing is a cosignment shop. Something like a RIF LA would be a great addition to the shopping scene in the city. And with all the celebs that come through ATL, it could be a huge opportunity. Just an idea I’ve had for a few years.
wow, another store. i still haven’t checked out fly kix nor house of hoops. sucks being broke and living far away . . . as in Georgia (outside the perimeter).

Nice video…I just hope they have sneakers for women as well and not just boots/heels…
i saw what it look like to be air pegasus’s if that is so, there i am going
good, need a new boutique. some of the ppl @ wish are real “into themselves”. i’ll leave it at that lol

My people from Sole Fly need to come to Atl and show em how it’s done!

Standard used to be that alternative for me but ever since they moved to Lenox, just hasn’t been the same

Screw how the place looks and where it’s at, the real thing I’m focusing on is, “is there anything gonna be released thats worth going there?!”

Looks refreshing and I wish them luck. Prestigious for LIFE.
