These are no longer called the Grant Hill II Mid, but that’s the name people will always use. The Grant Hill II Mid retro will be available soon, and we mean soon. I know alot of people are happy to see these but the appeal (imo) is strictly due to nostalgia…didn’t think these looked that good in ‘95—>and still don’t.
If they come in my store I will cop. If not then I wont. I remember these, they fell apart on me though, but great memories.

^^^It’s like this Getlaced, I’m 183 pairs deep. 132 pairs are numbered jordans, 9 dub-zeros/spizikes, 5 pairs of reeboks (3 question lows, 1 question mid and Og shaqnosis) the rest are retro nikes from the mid 90s. When I was a kid, I was allowed one pair of 70$ for a whole school year, so I knew I could never have the top shelf kicks, but it would make my day to just walk into a footlocker and be able to hold and look at heat. Now, even I find it rediculous myself that I’m gunna buy a pair of filas(which I think are extremely gay) but just cuz this shoe caught my eye back in the I’m gunna get now cuz I can. That must of been somewhat decent for you to keep yours in perfect condition.

i remember i had these for Christmas my 7th grade year because the Jordan XI white/blacks were sold out and i lost my damn mind when my uncle gave me the box and i saw these under the paper. i didn’t even rock them outside the house until christmas break was over because i wanted my joints to be IMMACULATE when we went back to school!! i stepped into the gym that morning and all you saw in there was patent leather glistening because EVERYBODY had these or the XI’s. but i was crushin them with these, my NC hockey jersey with the Rams on the shoulders and my Hornets Starter pullover with the purple and white stripes under the arms. I WAS HURTIN CATS!!!! LMAO!! i knew this shoe was ill when my teachers were giving me compliments. you can hate if you want, but this is the CLEANEST Fila to ever exist. when old women say “wow, thats a beautiful shoe”, you know its official. these WILL be copped. trust.

I have said the golden era for kicks was roughly 1995 thru 1998 and if you were in middle school or high school when these came out then you can talk.I was in the 7th grade when these came out but didnt get them cus i already used up my shoe money. All major brands had something that i consider a classic in that time. People (especially the younger crowd) are always worried about a price tag to determine the value of a shoe when really the price isnt so high becuase of quality but becuase of profit margin. picture these with a jumpman logo in the place of the fila logo and make the patent leather red, and on the toe of the sole where it says “FILA” have it say jumpman. Would you like these now? 2 pairs on lock with the vintage pistons grant hill jersey.
OOOOH! I remember these my my freshman year in high school at Renton (WA)95-96. My boy had the all black ones. Then after these came the Stackhouses (whatcha know about those?). Then Fila jus fell off to were they still r now. These are a must cop jus cus they bring back memories. Fresssssshh!
yooo, jerronimo. what you know about those stackhouses?!? those joints were ILL, they had the clear bottoms, with the subtle red and blue stripes coming down. those were the second best Filas after these grant hills. my boy had the UNC basketball uniform with those white and baby blue stackhouses…..KILLIN EM that spring, son. i wanted the USA grant hill 2’s but they didn’t have my size. most of the people dissin this shoe are only hypebeasts. this shoe isn’t about hype, its about love. this was the second basketball shoe to feature patent leather. NOBODY had it until these and the XI’s came out and damn near every celeb had these joints. even the Low’s were dope. and if you had some dope Tommy Hillfiger or Polo wit these………oohhhhhhh!!!! yall don’t know.

ahhh! like de la sole…these were my first pair of brand name shoes also….i always wondered why these shoes didn’t get more love…. they are definitely on my top 10 shoe list…i was a HUGE GH hill fan back in the day…plus if you look in the inside of the All Eyez on Me booklet…’Pac was rockin’ these also! If it’s good nuff for Pac….it’s good nuff for me! LOL

I remember these joints from middle school, being from MI and Grant Hill playing for the Pistons at the time, MAD people had these where I’m from, and I was just like a lot of these other dudes on here, not being able to spend over 50 bucks on a pair of shoes for entire school year, and I remember wanting these bad as hell but that was then and this is now and I’m glad FILA is gonna retro these, it’s a must cop for me.
