Foamposite Land Debate: DC vs NYC
After reading the comments in the Wale x Nike Copper Foamposite post, I decided to make an official “Foamposite Land” debate post. The ongoing debate about who’s responsible for putting the Foamposite on the map can continue.
It all started when I said Wale was from “Foamposite land”, and I was only going off what I’ve heard for years about the DC area and their love for Foamposites. Wale himself even said in our interview at the 3:00 mark that in DC the Foamposite is the shoe of choice. However, the Foamposite land tagline started a rather interesting debate between DMV and NYC heads.
TSG has nothing but love for DMV and NYC. As a matter of fact, we love everybody! There’s nothing wrong with opinions, and that’s the purpose of the comments section. Perhaps everyone can find some closure about this topic. At the end of the day, rock Foamposites because you like them, and rock them well!
Hopefully, everyone can conduct themselves in a mature manner as this debate continues. People from DMV, NYC, and anyone else that wants to contribute to this debate, feel free to drop your thoughts in the comments.

DC STAND UP
this shyt is real cuz last summer, summer of 09 i went down to nyc and connecticut and went to the downtown mall and ask if the silver half cents were coming out they didnt had an idea way they was never heard of em. i just got bak from conniticut for spring break 2010 and i went to the same mall, i saw eggplants, half cent all that shyt. DC runn this shyt, we put foams on the map

went nyc and dmv for college tours….dmv evry other person had em on, from cactus’s to whole lotta coppers, and even sum eggplants….in nyc not to manyy ppl were wearin dem as in dc but they also ddint have many ppl rockin da older foams either
“The urea” put all the expensive shoes on the map. It is the LAND of shoe game, the home of true sneakerheads. We we rockin Gucci sneaks and 250 flightposites back in 98 when everyone was calling them ugly. I went to Hampton university 98-02 and non styling NY niggas was quick to call our shoes ugly, and say why would you buy those. Now you wanna be compared? There is NO COMPARISON DICK RIDERS. You hated on down south rap, now you wanna be all over every track cause your only rapper that still matters is Jay-z, who don’t even sell like that anymore compared to Wayne.
this thread is hilarious…if it wasnt for NYC and or our style..the DMV wouldnt even have the chance to say that foams is they thing..
