How, Who, When, What, Why, and WHERE are you Yeezy 2?
The Air Yeezy 2 carries more rumors than ten Mr.Wests in ten places at once and we can only help distill some of the rumors by not only exposing some of the rumors but get your opinion on the the highly anticipated Air Yeezy 2 also. The descendent to the first Yeezy drop was rumored to be a Black Friday release but with the famed post-Thanksgiving sale being just around the corner, better judgment tells us that there is a better chance at Kanye West giving us a Sorry for the Wait Jordan 3. Sorry Lil Wayne. Word has it they are slated to drop in spring of 2012 but it’s not concrete.
If you remember the 2009 release, they hit retail spots around the same time. Price point, account info, and colorways are still unconfirmed also. Again it was rumored that they will cost around $215 and it was in 2009 where retail spots reared their dark side and hiked up prices and some pairs allegedly went “missing” or unaccounted for. Some campers were blindsided by an impromptu raffle and resell prices still have many screaming “How could you be so heartless” or “THAT ISH CRAY”. Everyone has their own war story from that time.
A highly speculated topic is the colorways; no official word has come to light on any of the colorways that will see a release date to the masses. The black/pink colorway has been seen on the Louis Vuitton Don most often and most recently have seen a grey/red color worn by someone close to Kanye. We have also seen an early all black colorscheme but again, nothing has been made official. Account information has also been a bit hazy at this point but our best educated guess would be that the initial boutiques from the first release will stock them.
One thing we can hope is that Nike took into account the ill favored events that perspired two years ago and make the next release a little easier and and accessible to an obvious loyal and (for lack of a better term) rabid customer base. You can rest assure that resellers as well as the casual sneakerhead has become more savvy to endure what’s to come from the upcoming release but there is sure to be plenty of heartbreak with no 808 next year. if i were a betting man i’d go with early march, black c/w only.
It would be nice that they release around spring so the weather won’t be that bad so people can camp out. The price probably going to be $250-$300 because they might have a special box this time around but your basically paying for the name Kanye West.

After the DB release catastrophe….FU Nike. I cant wait to see what kind of bs nike pulls with these. Apparently someone at Nike thinks its a great idea to keep manufacturing only like 10% of a shoes market demand. While Nike looses money hand over fist, resellers and eBay reap all the profits. The dumbest shit ive ever seen a company do. Its basic math. So while Air Randy and Marquee Sole sell hundreds of these pre release, you and i, the suckers who keep giving our money to Nike for shitty quality retros, will end up standing in the cold with our dicks in our hands and nothing to show for the 3 days we sat in line but anger and resentment.
What it comes down to, is limited or not, the resale will be the same, so that depresses me already.

Thats not true at all. General releases dont go for over 115% above retail on average. The more limited, the more we get screwed

i think ill pass on yeezys. i wanted the first pair but after seeing them on peoples feet it other than kanyes they just didnt look right.
It’d be nice to see Nike/Yeezy do a certain colorway for 3-4 of his favorite regions of the planet, let the colorways only release in those regions, and keep em as limited as the first ones. 4 colorways at 1000 pairs each. You’re either in the right place at the right time, you have connects worth a damn, or you’re making enough money to pay the eBay price….if not, tough s**t….

Nike is just building the anticipation for this release. They not gonna confirm or give us info on a release until we are turning over cars and lighting stores on fire. And nike seriously needs to stop stores and botiques from doing over priced raffles and hiking the prices up. Not cool at all

I think they should be at the most $200, not everybody has the left over money to be waisting over $200 on sneakers, especially in this economy. Hopefully they release in the Spring so that I can save up to buy them. In the meantime Nike can work on lowering the price. What I don’t get is how can Kanye sell a shoe for soo much when he himself was broke and went through a struggle why would he make fans pay more when we are the ones who made him who he is today.
