Jordan XII “Rising Sun” New Release Date
The Air Jordan 12 “Rising Sun” was originally set to release today, October 24th. Due to the rising sun artwork on the insole Jordan Brand put a freeze on the release. We are aware that some of you were still able to score a pair with the rising sun insole still intact. However, everyone else will have to wait for the new release date to arrive. The new release date for the “Rising Sun” Jordan 12 is November 21st. We’re unsure how JB plans to deal with the insole situation, but the kicks have been pushed back to 11/21/09.
We’re assuming the value will go up on pairs that have the original insoles. We can see it now, at the next sneaker event someone will have the kicks on their table with the rising sun insoles on display. Funny, but true!
If anything changes we’ll be sure to let you know. So, who was able to get their hands on a pair with the OG insoles?

i wasnt able to cop the 12s with the rising sun insole so when i saw these at house of hoops houston i didnt even bother to look on the insole. maybe i shouldve. because some spots that had em on display didnt have the right insoles. i guess well see what JB does wit it.

I think this was a plan all along from JB, trying to hype up there 12’s, just like rappers do before their album drops. Lil Wayne did it before The Carter 3 dropped, well that’s my opinion.

honestly if in the future the ones wit the rising sun insole in the future are going to be worth money ima be sick !!!! cuz theres no difference in texture of the sneaker beside the insole. so if lets say 5 years plus or so the kick is worth more money that’ll be so gay. they dont look as good in person, the pics do them justice but in person i tired them on n everything n wasnt feeling it. the only thing hott is the insole actually (beside the patent leather)

Oddly enough, Finish Line, Modells, Jimmy Jazz\HyperActive, VIM and the mom and pops stores over here in NY haven’t even begun to hold over the sneakers, so there’s a very legit chance you can still get the now-”OG” version of the Rising Sun 12’s, heh
The hype over these insoles is ridiculous. This reminds me how the baseball card companies used to make “error” cards to boost their sales. There was a Billy Ripken card that got hyped up cause he had “F*ck Face” written on his bat.That card sold for big bucks for about six months, until the hyped died down. That card is probably worth fifteen cents now. SMH @ this nonsense……

I got a pair with the OG sole. Now I never plan on wearing them. I’ll by the one that is re-released just to sport and any one who says the rising suns are wack has no taste.
