Kaws Original Fake x Nike Air Max Series
The Nike and Original Fake Air Max Series will release this Saturday, October 18th. Before you get too excited keep in mind this series will only drop in New York and Los Angeles. It’s sad to say, but the lines have probably already started in both NYC and LA. Kaws and Nike Sportswear designer Jesse Leyva poured their designing skills on this series which includes an Air Max 90 and Air Max 90 Current. Peep more info after the jump.
The Original Fake x Nike Air Max Series will drop this Saturday at Nike Sportswear at 21 Mercer in New York and Nike Sportswear at The Montalban in Los Angeles.
On Saturday, October 18th 2008, Nike Sportswear will release two Air Max sneakers created in partnership with OriginalFake. The iconic Air Max 90 and the Air Max 90 Current receive a technical update by OriginalFake and Nike Sportswear Design Director Jesse Leyva.
Featuring innovative 4-way stretch textiles, the two shoes take inspiration from ACG, Nike’s outdoor product line, creating “something with a trail running attitude, on an iconic footwear style” says Leyva. A designer at OriginalFake added, “I wanted to create a simple shoe that I could wear, with subtle design elements someone could enjoy on a more personal level.”
The Air Max 90 and Air Max 90 Current created in partnership between ORIGINALFAKE and NIKE will be exclusively available on October 18th, 2008 at the following retailers: via NikeSportswear

Those currents are pretty nice but only 2 stores in the states getting them equals reselling prices in the low 1000’s I’m guessing. I can’t imagine how long the lines are looking and its only tuesday……
