KryptoNate Nike Foamposite Lite News
Since Valentine’s Day (night) Nate Robinson’s Nike KryptoNate Foamposite Lite has been the most talked about sneaker on and offline. Nate dunking over Dwight “Superman” Howard was enough to talk about, but the number one question from Foam lovers and sneaker collectors was “When will the KryptoNate Foams drop?“. We got word that Nike had no plans of releasing the kicks, but with the excellent marketing strategy it would be a waste of hype not to release the kicks to the public.
Images were floating around the web, and next thing we know a seller had a pair up for auction on eBay. The seller said they were the exact same shoes Nate wore in the 2009 Sprite Slam Dunk Contest, so with fresh hype in the air the bidders didn’t waste anytime bidding. It was truly bid wars at it’s finest, and that’s one thing any ebayer has experienced before. To make a long story short, the winning bid was US $22,300.00. For some unknown reason eBay killed the item number, and you can no longer view the ended auction.
A few hours before the auction ended, news hit the web saying that the shoes in the auction wasn’t the same pair Nate wore. Word is, Nate had his worn pair the entire time and never gave them away. Robinson appeared on David Letterman last night wearing the KryptoNate Foamposite Lite’s (see video above), and that was suppose to be solid proof that he never gave them away…

Was that good enough proof for you? We heard that Nike gave Nate a few pairs in his size (10.5), so if that’s true it’s possible we’ll never know the truth about the questionable eBay auction. Check out the box tag below.

In other KryptoHype KryptoNate news, Harlem House of Hoops received the KryptoNate Nike tee that Nate was spotted in at the Slam Dunk contest. You can find them on eBay right now for $50-$60.

The tees are a good sign to everyone that wants the kicks to drop. They Say the kicks are suppose to release at House of Hoops locations in the next 3-4 weeks minus the “K” logo.
Total of 12 Pairs were made. Nate Received a pair of coarse and the rest were issued to Nike PR People…FYI these Hyped “Kryptonates” will release in 3-4 weeks at HOH and not to add to anymore Hype it’s a lot less then 1000 pairs. – MJ23KB24LB23

It’s crazy how all star weekend makes instant classics out of shoes. I dont remember there being this much hype around kicks in a long time. From eggplants (which i’m still hoping will fall into my lap at retail or at least close) to these foam lites…jordan news…good time to like kicks. Too bad majority of us cant afford this stuff.
well its probably a hoax auction because sometimes NIKE puts a pair of unreleased sneakers or sample pair on EBAY and see how well they do and if the bid is good probably will release it!!!!!!trust me i know ppl at nike who do this.

Best marketing scheme i’ve seen in years. These will most def release and for everyone that would never rock these colors will buy it because they are so hyped about that ebay price. This is a resellers dream and a true collectors nightmare. Them eggplants were suppose to be mad limited but everyone and they mamas got a pair at $200 bucks a pop.
