Lil Wayne x Space Jam Jordans x Grammys
Hello it’s the martian, but he’s better known as Lil Wayne. Last night, Drake, Eminem, and Weezy performed “Forever” at the 52nd Grammy Awards. Sorry, but Kanye West was not in the building. As we all know, Wayne’s “Space Jam Jordans” line from his verse in “Forever” added more hype to the already super hyped Space Jam Air Jordan 11 release last year. We wonder did Jordan Brand cut Weezy a check or at least send him a few pairs of Space Jams?
Anyhow, Wayne was spotted rocking “Space Jams” last night. If you missed the Grammys, we have images and the performance after the jump. For the record, Swagga Like Us performance > Forever performance.

Definitely not gonna knock someone making money i think he is the hottest in the game just not based on lyrics but solely based on like you said he makes songs that people wanna hear…. By all means he making his money i just dont like listening to him anymore he was best around the Drought mixtape timeframe and went down hill to me thats all… But anyway he had to rock the space jams after his verse in Forever if he didnt he would be heavily criticized and for the record as a sneakerhead i liked that bar

there is no way that you can put wht/red 12s over space jams i have both i have both deadstock o.gs as well and i can never in my life see the 12s over the spacejams now you wish to speak on underrated shoes,then by all means speak on the colombia 11s which was so serious that i cried when mine got a scuff back in 01′ i got lucky to find a deadstock pair later on down the line and since i work in a sneakerstore i see so many and since my store is well known and has o.gs i get to compare at times and the quality of the ogs the shape and design is classic in both but the spacejams are such a pretty shoe i love the wht/red 12s as well it just has a regal look to the shoe but no way can i say those above the spacejams the price drop on the wht/red 12s are crazy now in shoemania on 14th st union square in nyc they are 100 flat many people passed on those not by mistake but by choice because the jams was the shoe and the color on the 12s do change in time what is your thoughts on the charcole 9s,university blue 9s,oreo 6s,and some of the other retros to be dropped in the later half of the year
Too bad that censorship had to ruin what could have been an epic performance..Anyways, it was still dope seein this trio on stage at the biggest music award show of the year.

AM95 I agree… This shoe was over hyped and was a POS…. I bought them to rock, I had old retro and beat it up, but this shoe was not crack, it was a$$ crack…. Not only does Lil Wayne suck making music and alone destroying music it self… HE WAS WEARING SKINNY JEANS AND SPACE CRAP….. Just Turrible
Space Jams were the most overrated sneaker of 2009. Black baby booties for adults. I’d mess with the Concords, and that’s where it ends…..the toe box looks like A$$, the look of the shoe from the side is horrid, I can think of almost too many things to NOT like about 11′s…..they look like the person’s standing with their feet in small colored garbage bags being held on with rubber bands. Cherry 12′s were a better release. I could list about 25 sneakers I’d pay above retail for BEFORE paying UNDER retail for the Space Jams.

With Sneakers every shoe represents something different to the individual like AM95 said I selected the Red & White 12′s as My Grail Shoe BeCuz it represented Success to Me I was poor My Mom never spent more then 50 Bucks for a pair of Sneakers in my Life Until later When the Money was Right Mid 2000′s to be Exact and only then its was a major Birthday Gift But anyway I hustled for months to get the Money to pay for them 12′s Why Becuz like every other Kid in the Hood Michael was my hero Why? But if My Best friend and brother hustled 2getha we could get a Playstation that we all could play. Only cats round my way wit 11′s sold dope and and rode in Box chevy’s and they only Bought them cuz they was the New J’s and they had the paper to buy them The Shoe itself never represented anything more to them ya feel me? Nah Space Jams were alright but 09 had better releases . I’m about to catch my copper foamposites for $95 bucks and then probably pick up the rest of the sneakers on my list. Also wayne hit his peak around gangsta grillz and dedication 2 after that he fell off slowly and surely rapping wise,. Matter fact has anybody ever listened to a wayne album not mixtape without fastforwarding.

growing up in brooklyn all the dopeboys did what the d-boys did in your hood,sold them things to get fly,that 100 ft rim had me afterschool going to the courts with the small rims to bang like mike,no 11 comes before the concords that is my holy grail,being that i now work in a sneakerstore i have been able to build my shoe collection mighty and strong capturing those i wasnt able to afford growing up so i agree with you in many ways,we have the sae idea and taste n kicks

First off Lil wayne is overrated by the white hypebeast wack ass hell I can name guys that been around or underground would lyrically destroy him. And second off the Space Jam Jordans as well as the #11′s are overrated. The best Jordan release this year are the white/red XII”s aka Candycane XII’s.
