Lil Wayne x Space Jam Jordans x Grammys
Hello it’s the martian, but he’s better known as Lil Wayne. Last night, Drake, Eminem, and Weezy performed “Forever” at the 52nd Grammy Awards. Sorry, but Kanye West was not in the building. As we all know, Wayne’s “Space Jam Jordans” line from his verse in “Forever” added more hype to the already super hyped Space Jam Air Jordan 11 release last year. We wonder did Jordan Brand cut Weezy a check or at least send him a few pairs of Space Jams?
Anyhow, Wayne was spotted rocking “Space Jams” last night. If you missed the Grammys, we have images and the performance after the jump. For the record, Swagga Like Us performance > Forever performance.

The Grammy’s did suck!! But you gotta expect somebody like lil wayne to be in Space Jams.. Weezy dont need JB checks, he write his own, lol… Everybody got the space jams, its not really exclusive, right? Even all the stars got yeezy’s and you know how that release was..

I enjoyed the Lady gaga + Elton John collobration, I enjoyed the michael Jackson ” earth song ” 3d performance. you should of had the glasses. I loved seen Bon Jovi perform ” living on a prayer” beyonce and taylor swift performance was amazing and drake, eminem, wayne and travis barker tore the place down.

Travis isn’t that great of a drummer compared to many many others. Not saying he is bad, but dudes give him way too much credit. Step up on your drum game ppl. There are a handful of ppl who can play better.

Missed The Performance I was kinda mad They Banned Kanye & Keri Hilson Should of Won Best new artist… Just My Opinion Space Jams = Overrated and thats coming from a person who copped the shoe….
That performance was the only thing I saw of the grammys. I gotta semi agree with Jedi. As a drummer myself, Trav may not be the most technically talented but the things he does over HipHop trax are simply AMAZING. Being able to catch and mimic an electronically manufactured beat!? Fix your face vol 1 is a classic IMO (vol.2 was cool). As far as being better than Quest…they are both equally talented and I def look for anything either does, but the Roots as whole have been doing it for years and Quest “leads” them. Maybe they need to have a drum-off, it would be epic.

Lets please stop hatin on his talent. The man can rap, and he can make a hot song. He’s not no where near the best to do it, but lets stop hatin and give credit where credit is due please.

^^^@bronxsneakerhead^^^ yeh I Put My Cherry 12′s above the Space Jams and the only reason I bought the Jams in the first place is because in 2000-2001 out of the 4 colorways of 11′s I only managed to cop the Columbia’s which in MY OPINION were the Best (No Disrespect to the OG Colorways because I Understand!)I remember I used to call them Angel Socks but anyway I never owned a pair of Space Jam’s & Being an Avid Jordan & Penny Collector It was a No Brainer for me But The Hype just did not live up to the actual Physical shoes Once again Does Hype Kill? and for me it Did the way they short changed the Patent Leather On the Shoe made me be like damn I really spent almost 200 Bucks for these For what a Box? and some Inserts? So thats why I feel the need to say when a shoe is overated FYI The White & Red 12′s are my grail just for the Fact that in 1997 I bought that shoe with my Own Money My First pair of Jordans So I put those 12′s above any other Jordan just because!!

^^Hye Style Kid^^ I agree he is defin hyped. But on the same note, the guy has some skills. N he does his job well, which is put out songs people want to hear and buy. Regardless to how hyped he is. He’s doin something right cause he’s making money. I cant knock no one making money. He is the people’s champ right now. He puts out wat the people want. So when he does that gay giggle, the people want it, as said as that may seem.
Don’t get me wrong, Questlove and the Roots most certainly have pioneered organic hip-hop and he is a master at it on the skins! Travis style could just explode if some hip-hop folks brought him in to simply create beats… not re-create. I’m not a Blink fan, I’m a drummer, and his style and ability were just so evident last night.

^^@ Royal Swagness^^ I Like Both Sneakers Space Jam 11′s & White & Red 12′s There is Flaw in Both of them Tho The Only Difference between the OG 12 and the retro’s is the red color contrasting on the shoe The OG’s were a little Brighter Red which I liked But the Construction Overall Tumbled Leather was Almost dead on Proly one of the Better Retros in this Day & Time concerning Jordan Brand I like the Space Jams only thing I meant was that the Hype was to much for the actual shoes to carry and they were Over priced due to “Packaging” (I guess) and You have to add to the Fact that I owned both the original models to these shoes so Im Slighted in my Opinions Quality Overall Look of the shoe Etc. and Yes they have been sitting on shelves but u kno what u guys are going to be kicking yourself 5 yrs later when u realize they are not going to retro this shoe again proly for another 6 yrs Cop now or wait 11 years for the White & Red 12′s to be retroed again Prepare for the Future even tho its not Promised…… let that soak for a minute…
