Mackdaddy x Fila "Mack Squad"

Lil Scrappy once said, “Forever I Love Atlanta” when talking about Fila. True, before Fila entered Foot Locker in every bright color you could imagine, Fila was a very well respected brand. Well, some still have respect for the brand, but that Foot Locker move watered down the brand. The original classic styles were the go-to models for anyone in the Fila know. Not just in the south, but Fila was also a respected brand in New York, and several locations overseas.

Speaking of overseas, the Japanese based brand, Mackdaddy hooked up with Fila once again. Instead of Hulk green, they used a neon blue. This definitely looks like something you could have found in Foot Locker with the 2 for $69 tag a few years ago. If you like it we love it (that line is so not true), and you’ll be trilled to know the expected drop date is November 14th. via Hypebeast

Fila fans, are you feeling this Mackdaddy collabo?

^Its a few models I would still rock. The OG classic joints of course. I still have a few pairs from high school. Remind you I graduated in 2001, right before they linked up with Foot Locker. The only place in ATL that I could find the OG models was Walter’s.

    Oh my..these are bright.

I don’t live down south, living in PA. BUT, I do remember about 15 years ago my mother taking me to the Fila store and buying me the OG joints back in the day. She insisted that I had them.

Can’t say I still rock Fila, but I guess I can thank my mother for the closet full of shoes I own!
