More Nike Air Yeezy News for the Fans

First off let me say I’ll be glad when these sneakers finally drop. I had a freaking dream about Air Yeezy’s the other night, and that’s just sad. However, I did find out that the Yeezy’s will come in a brown Nike Sportswear box. I actually thought they would come in some type of special box. In case you want to harass Nike Customer Service here’s one of the style #’s 366164-002. Like the previous Air Yeezy news stated, retail is suppose to be around the $250-$300 mark. Here’s the latest news via NT, but this info doesn’t sound right. FootLocker, Finishline, and Champs getting Yeezy’s??

Hello Ken,It’s great that you are interested in the Nike Air Yeezy (style number 366164-002). They are a great looking style.
We have only been advised that this style is going to be released in March. Nike has not advised us of a specific date in March because this style is being sold as a Quickstrike. This means that our retail locations will have little or no notice that the shoes are arriving at their store. Once the shoes hit the stores is when we will become aware of it.
We have been informed that the Air Yeezys will be available at all NIKETOWN, and all Nike authorized retail locations such as Foot Locker, Finish Line and Champs Sports.
Please reply to my email if I can answer anything else about these shoes.

G-roc no way in hell should Foot Locker,Inc get these. You will compromise the dopeness of these kicks but sendin it to any of their stores. I mean shoot you think the trendsetter really shops there? No.
yo if these prehaps drop at footlocker,footaction , i will be so happy..but i doubt that.g-roc do you think store owners who own boutiques ,footactions know if they are gettin them..i mean b/c i need these in my life w/o a doubt . i hope they dont release only in NY,cali, and chi. b/c that will make it 10 times more difficult.

I’ll buy em wherever I can get em – because I “like” the shoe and my “purchase” is not dictated by how hard it is to get or where and how many there are. I have some kicks that are really hard to find and I have some that u could easily get anywhere!

whats wrong with champs? i get the majority of my kix from there, am i missing something? i thought it was the authenticity that mattered, not the store!! who cares who gets em, if youre willin to drop 300 on these, then who gives a f*ck where you got em, you just spent 300 damn dollars on em!! so does this mean when footlocker, champ’s, etc. get the 1/2 cents you won’t be right there coppin?
I can see them releasing pairs as GR’s to multiple stores like F.Locker. & F.Line… don’t see whats wrong with local stores getting them… You already know that if they do there’s gonna be a pair or two that’s gonna be hard to get @ a quickstrike for all the hypebeasts out there… Regardless I’m feelin the black ones the most… Yet I can do $200 maaaaybe even $250 (but not likely).. and @ $300… Yeezy can go F@ck himself if he thinks he’s getting that outa me I’d rather buy couple pairs of J’s and a 8th ya dig!!!
I don’t necessarily believe they’ll release in these stores but it’d be great. For anyone claiming to want the shoe complaining about them releasing in these stores you sound stupid. The alternative being a limited amount in select few stores. So then you either camp out or get raped on internet prices(how is either of those a better option). Plus your “average” consumer doesn’t spend $300 for sneakers, especially in these times, the price tag in itself will limit who has them.
Secondly everybody calling everybody a “hypebeast” is getting annoying. That word is getting as played out as swag. Just blatantly following what appears to be in “style” is bad but whatever. Do what suits you. We all take things from other people and do it our own way. Only one person can be the first to do something.
i would not be shocked if they ended up in my champs store. il just hold them until a 50% off comes and then buy them
I don’t car if hypebeast get to cop as long as I can cop like 2 pairs of each colorway. But in a way it makes sense G-roc this is supposed to be a charity sneaker so the more they could make would be better. They also may explain the brown box they will come in hitting at a more readily avalible release than we first thought. I hope this is true because this just made my NIGHT!!! I’m so hype I’m about to pop in the 808’s right after I finish listening to college drop out. Thank u G-roc and like I said hope it’s true make sense to me.
I think that $300 for a pair of kicks is stupid…please people were bitching at CDP’s and they were 2 pairs of kicks….Shit there are still tons of CDPS to go around…they are even discounted right now and they still cant get rid of them…It sucks to say but the only way these sell out is to limit them and have them sell for $300…ifs a quickstrike release or Lifestyle (now called Sportswear hence the brown box) then many stories will have plenty quanties…Large cities like NYC, Chi, Mia, LA will sell out quick but in Buttfuck, Oklahoma…you’ll be able to cop with no problem…which is why I wouldn’t expect Footlocker Inc (or its affiliates) to carry it…
I’ll see them on the discount rack. If footlocker is getting them and the price is that high does things really won’t sell out that quick.

masses. May be the same instance for the Yeezys.
Although they are a much anticipated sneaker, maximum
profit maybe the main concern over exclusitivity.
The price however, may be the only thing that resembles
a quickstrike. who knows? Only time & TSG will tell.
I hope they hit regular, accessable retailers so people don’t have to crap their pants trying to get a pair……I’m all over that grey pair, MAYBE the black pair, and def NOT the khaki pair…..

I agree with alot of yall saying it doesn’t matter where the joints are released…cuz it doesn’t. And if they got a $250-$300 price tag on ‘em, consider yourself fortunate if you can get a pair regardless. I don’t care where they come out or what the price is, I was never really feelin’ ‘em in the first place.

hypebeast? LOL. I just understand that product value is definitely real. With “most” shoes if you place them in regular stores they would never sell out. This shoe is the first of its kind… need I remind you that Ye is the only non athlete to ever get a shoe from Nike. Nobody else has met that! Plus isnt foot locker just a regular store. So why not place it in a buyers environment that appeals to a fashionable consumer. U right I will buy this shoe wherever it is but I would like to see it in better locations. Plus, after working at Foot Locker and seeing the way they are with Nike. Screw em. I don’t like Foot Locker one bit. I am a small business owner and hold my opinion. Hold it down!

$300 for Yeezy’s? Big deal considering we’re all serious sneaker collectors that don’t mind spending our money on sneakers we love. So I’m not so worried about the retail price on these, however what I am worried for is that Nike has always been greedy. For now ‘they say’ Yeezy’s will be very limited and hard to find, which can justify the price tag to most. However isn’t anyone worried Nike might come out six months from now with a “Spiz-ike” move? There’s no way Nike will have these sell-out successfully without trying to milk this cash cow as much as possible. Those same exclusive boutiques that sold out of a certain model in March will mysteriously get a re-up a month later. Then you’ll start seeing different CW’s releasing every once in a while, or just in certain countries. Eventually Nike will get the last laugh (all they way to the bank).

Tokyo, the ultimate glory dunks got released at goodfoot down here, for 200, i was SOOOOO broke at the time so i couldnt get them, for some reason they wernt hyped enuff for the hypebeasts to cop it, so boxing day came around and i got em for 140 dollars, and i wanna beleive that these will be easy to get and i thnk they will for the first week, but i think the hype over it will make it sell fast, and ull see it on ebay, and i bet ull even see it on pickyourshoes.com

G-Roc when the story first broke of the air yeezy, weren’t they supposed to be a charity sneaker??
