Nike is hooking King James up with another New York inspired shoe. In 2006 the NYC Zoom Lebron 4 was released as a New York exclusive. Two years later, and it’s time for a new NY Zoom Lebron. Lebron James favorite baseball team is none other than the New York Yankees. The Zoom Lebron V (5) gets a Cleveland Indians New York Yankees make over.
They feature the teams popular navy blue/white colorway and pinstripes. New York New York and Le-Bron Ja-Mes “Clap, Clap, Clap Clap Clap” is seen behind the tongues. Fresh for ‘08, Suckers is also a phrase featured on the shoes. They are set to release as another New York exclusive in March, and this shoe was suppose to be a secret, but pics taken in Hong Kong were leaked. Images: Kenlu
Nike spokesman Kejuan Wilkins said the Yankees-themed shoe will be released in March. Initial plans are for it to be sold only in New York.
