@brinx you have a point and I like what you said but dudes aint sellin no more so for alot of them mixtapes are their only avenue to stardom they can eat a little get show money or collaboration money based off of their mixtapes so that’s y most do it and no cory will neva put out an album not hatin hope he does but naw on the other hand good thing brian pumper is in the game now I have a reason to live straight crack
corey gunz is nice, that ninja just rap to fast,he messed up though signing with young money, theres alot of people over there on standby till wayne get out.The only people doing something overthere is drake and nicki, and i dont even like them ninjas.but hip hop at least the lyricism part is dead.
he aiight.. but like brinx said he been trying way too long. but he got word play. unfortunately thats it. In this day and age you have to dominate the mixtape game.. cats never really mad emoney on albums and now cats really dont.. the mixtape game is how they get booked and thats the only reason they get the crumbs they do to eat.. the game is diffrent.. this aint the 90′s. You can pack a show with 30,000 people and only get half that in sales.. unless your really something special
Yea man if he was that nice he would have def. been on right now, I had one of his last few tapes and it was straight, but I had to delete it simply ’cause it never really grabbed me. He’ll be on soon enough, but he’s jus gotta get better and up his buzz… I’d ‘like’ his fb profile or whatever kids are doin these days
Wow yall are really hating on cory gunz, dude is nice and lyrical, yall talking about ”if he was that nice , he would have been signed, but if you think about most of the rappers especially the mainstream ones who are signed, are garbage anyway, There’s madd MCs and Rappers out there who are not signed, and they flow is crazy, the music industry is grimey as hell, and now days to get on, you pretty much have to play the music that the powers that be would allow, especially if it sells, So dont forget that people, and theres nothing wrong with mixtapes either, cause there’s not too many rappers whos album I would buy now days anyway, so therefore Big up to cory gunz and shout out to the BRONX for this hip hop movement, the birthplace.
Cory did what a relatively unknown artist is supposed to get some attention. He grinded for 6 years on the underground and finally made enough noise/connects to get signed with a crew that’s making moves at the forefront of mainstream hip hop. Album or no album, that sounds like a dude on the rise. I personally am not a fan of rapid fire wordsmithing, but I do respect his technical skill. Now how that is going to translate to sales is another question And, as a hip hop fan and actual student of the game I am interested in hearing what Young Money has planned on the A & R side to develop this dude from lyrical uzi into something more palpable for a mainstream audience.
YEA IM NOT HATIN ON GUNZ.. CAN HE “RAP”? YES….
BUT IM JUST CALLIN IT HOW IT IS….
AND WHO CARES IF HES SIGNED 2 YOUNG MONEY?? THAT DONT MEAN SHlT!
HELL NEVER DROP A ALBUM, JUST LIKE GUDDA GUDDA AND JAE MILZ WONT EITHER… THERE JUST HAPPY WALKIN AROUND TELLIN BlTCHES “IM SIGNED TO LIL WAYNE” LMAO
Looking forward to hearing some new material from Cory Gunz.
