Nike Air Flight ‘89 “Oreo”
Since the original 1989 release of the Flight ‘89, Nike has released a nice variety of colorways. At one point the Flight ‘89 some how fell off Nike’s footwear roster, but lately the Flight ‘89 has been getting proper attention. People have always said the Flight ‘89 was similar to the Air Jordan 4, and the “Oreo” concept helps justify the comparison.
Let’s back track a minute. Back in 1999 Jordan Brand released an all black and cool grey Air Jordan 4, which was later dubbed “Oreo” AJ4. This pair of Air Flight ’89’s resembles that make up, minus the patent leather and white. However, it’s close enough and the Flight ‘89 has never got Air Jordan treatment like this. Some of you may remember the Flight ‘89/Air Jordan 3Â samples, but they were never released.
