Last year, Nike showed love to the Air Penny line by creating the 1/2 Cent hybrid. It appears that Nike had plans to release an Air Penny inspired Air Max 95 Spring 2009, but for whatever reason, they never released.

Verb04 sent us images of the Air Max 95 “Air Penny” sample. As you can see, the AM95’s features a Lil Penny image on the insole. The colorway is made up of black, white, flint grey and varsity blue. Check out more pics after the jump…

    The ‘95 are the best running shoe ever…got my first back in ‘95 OG blue colorway in Hong Kong while serving in the Marines…ran up to 7 miles a day, 5 days a week on those, BUT for some reason I’m not excited for every colorway that is coming out because of Nike ID…

    I saw Air Max 95’s for sale at Footaction today. I didn’t see what the big deal was. Then I looked at the price tag, and REALLY didn’t see what the big deal was.

    Penny is being milked. It’s funny how they made these “Penny AM95’s” when the just could have been royal blue 95’s. Still I wont buy.

    I need to retract my previous comments on these shoes. ‘Cause I went out and tried on a pair today, and walked out of the store with them in my hand (not the exact ones in the picture, but they are blue). Dope shoe.

    hey CK… did you get the am95s with the navy blue gradient and black toe cap???? there’s a pair that just came out that has a whack blue with a white patent leather toe cap…
