Nike Air Safari Pack

| May 4, 2012 | Comments (9)

Back in the day, 1987 to be exact, the sneaker genius, better known as Tinker Hatfield designed the Nike Air Safari. Tinker saw a couch made from deluxe ostrich leather at a New York furniture store, and that couch inspired him to create the Air Safari. The Safari print is well-known in today’s sneaker world, but most people are not that familiar with the actual shoe. Just know that 25 years later, the shoe still gets respect is always being sought after.

Have you ever thought about what would happen if the Air Safari runner and the Air Trainer 1 made sweet love? Please don’t answer that because if you have had those thoughts before you shouldn’t be reading TSG. Instead, you should check yourself into a sneaker/sex rehab asap. Now, let’s get back to the shoes. This is what both of Tinker’s designs would look like if they hooked up. I’m referring to the Air Trainer 1, of course.

Nike presents the Air Safari Pack. The Air Safari and the Safari-inspired Air Trainer 1 is what you get. No word on when this pack will touch down in the states, but the Air Trainer 1 is currently available in Asia.

they’re both hot… the runners because they’ve always been a classic grail, and the trainer because the materials and print just looks nice on them (plus I’m a sucker for the Nike strap)
