Nike Dunk High Premium SB “Shoe Goo” – Detailed Pics
Nike SB is always thinking outside the box and here’s a look at their latest creation. This Dunk Hi Premium SB was inspired by Shoe Goo, as in the shoe repair stuff (silicone based adhesive). Pictures hit the web earlier this week, but thanks TSG reader TokyoMike we now have a detailed look. The official colorway is Silver and White, but we all know these feature more than just silver/white. The Shoe Goo SB Dunk Hi should hit Nike SB accounts soon. No need for the long winded details, we’ll let the pics do the talking.
Official colorway is “silver/white” but as you can see, they’re anything but silver and white. These come with 3 sets of flat, NON SB laces…..yellow, black, and a pair that’s all red on one side, and the other side is red at the ends and white in the middle (?????) The weird set of laces is made out of silky nylon, not cotton. Also, the tongue on these is made outta that thin “old school” nylon, it’s stuffed, and it’s got that crazy “drip” pattern on it. Midsoles are crazy, Shoe Goo looking yellow-ish with yellow stitching, and the outsoles are solid red (no pic..sorry.) Definitely different looking kicks!!! – TokyoMike

design of the tongue is cool. not executed properly it looks second grade. but the shoe sucks… a super ugly distorted version of red supreme highs. SB and Jordan is dead. Sneakers are just like hip hop nowadays, dead and too much hype about nonsense

These definately come off looking like an arts & crafts project. What’s next…is Nike gonna make up a pack called the “counterfeit/bootleg pack”—made with all sub-par and fake materials smuggled from China??? lol…I bet people would still buy for retail!
IMO I think they are kinda clever. You cant always have the same ol colorways that everyone wants. Either your in the shoe game or your not. If you dont like dont buy. On the business aspect of it, you have to have crazy ideas. That goes for every company out there. Doing the same thing gets played out really fast nowadayz.

The concept is nice cause anyone who has skateboarded before has most likely used shoe goo, but the execution is poor.
Juice if you dont agree you must not have been into sneakers at all before the year of 2005 – 6 id say. The quality is rapidly digressing. I dont have to get off the site but i do stand by my statement, which is why you wont see any of this new crap in my rotation for the week. next time give an educated opinion about the subject matter.

These are cool, different. When I first saw them on NSB I couldnt see the tongue and saw the flat laces and assumed they were someones customs (they still kinda look like that tho).

I’ve been collecting shoes way before ’05-06 and I’d say these are hot. It’s true Nike and JB have put out some certified bs in the last few years but there has also been some classics, so I don’t see your point about sneaks being “dead” maybe you have no style or swag.

And maybe you misunderstood my statement. Let me further explain, the future of sneaker design and concepts looks like its dead. Nothin hot or innovative. Trying to be sooo different its TRAASH. when did Space and Tigers correlate? Get me? Notebook composition design on a shoe? Sorry that needs to stay on an actual note book. I personally like kinda “beat up” Dunk Hi’s, Terminators, Vandals etc….these look like they’re gonna age FAST, and that’s what I wanted. The fat nylon tongue, plus the crackle paint that’s gonna crack and chip, and that nasty midsole that’s gonna get even nastier…shit’s gonna look 30 years old quick, and that’s a good thing (to me anyhow) cuz I like that weathered look. These do kinda look like the Supreme Hi’s, only this time the designer sniffed glue before coming up with the design lol….I still like em! To each his own….I’m just glad we have so many choices so I don’t hate on Nike SB or JB for at least TRYING new concepts….

the tongue is really nice but it looks like a different red than the rest of the shoe. the whole thing woulda been better if they used sumthin other than that blue, it’s probably a design taken from the actual product but i think it makes it look shitty…i agree 100% with ray and a.o. the sneaker game is falling apart, and JB definatly is…they’re done with the numbers and now they’re just throwing together hybrids/fusions like its nothing and for some reason people are actually buying that shit. im not gonna go as far to say that sb’s and JB is dead but they have fallen off MAJOR. and also thanks for throwing that line in from budden, swag is also a word that has been played out so much (just like sb’s jordans and a lot of todays rap) people just think that since diddy uses it in every other sentence that they should and that they understand the meaning…if you really do have “swag/swagger” you shouldn’t have to use the term. im not mad at nike for trying but they could’ve done better…easy pass
Shoe Companies try to hard to reinvent themselves by collaborating with artist who have different ideas & aspects of how a classic sneaker design and concept needs to look, now-a-days they release this TRAASH & expecting people to gobble them up F no, thats what degrading what we call “theshoegame”…just my opinion & don’t need to be corrected!
