Nike “Galaxy” All-Star Display at Orlando HoH + Midnight Release Shut Down
We all know that the world of sneakers is experiencing a strong gravitational pull from the gigantic meteor that is the “Galaxy” Foamposite One. But let’s face it, a Foamposite One being released in a colorway this special comes along as often as Haley’s Comet so many of us are currently star gazing outside our favorite sneaker spots awaiting their release. With the most special release currently in Florida for All-Star Weekend, Nike took special care of the Orlando House of Hoops location with a conceptual layout that is simply “out of this world”. A three man astronaut window display and a tantalizing arrangement of All-Star releases illuminate the store’s facade. A truly “astronomical” installation for the weekend.
If you’re not camping out for the Foamposites, then chances are you’re there for the…socks? Yes, DJCK tweeted a small que growing outside the HoH Orlando for the “Galaxy” Elite Socks. A special Penny tee shirt is also available for purchase seen below.
In other news, the chaos that comes along with such hyped releases can only spell trouble for retailers as they brace themselves for the release. The same HoH Orlando has taken extra precautions with the release by employing Orlando’s finest to monitor the situation. Needless to say, the cue at Florida Mall has been shut down indefinitely due to the mass hysteria.

This is stupid, these camp outs and midnight releases are not the way forward. Impossible in these days when every kid and their mom is a hype beast, people’s safety is in jeopardy. This is exactly why i refuse to participate in this hype, i will never camp out for any shoe no matter how bad i want it. I’m a sneaker lover since i was a kid but i’m on the point of retiring if this madness continues, i will be happy to pick up some QS and GR stuff in the near future but i’m staying the hell away from these super limited releases.

Knew this shit was going to happen. They shut down the HOH in PG yesterday for the Flight Ones, they sold them this morning. When they shut down the HOH they had everyone mad, people have been waiting outside for 6+ hours. Footaction got the Flight Ones too in PG, they also shut it down and selling them this morning. PG HOH is crazy right now. DTLR in DC is going to be death trap tomorrow. GOOD LUCK!
