Nike Isn’t Playing Around - Say No to Fakes Vol. 8
In last weeks edition of Say No to Fakes it was the same scenario. This time it’s a “Double Whammy” and the drama went down in South Bend, Indiana. Once again Nike hired a private investigator to scope out a few shops known for selling fakes in South Bend. When it was all said and done, the St. Joseph County Police confiscated close to 3,000 pairs of “suspected” counterfeit Nike shoes (AF1’s and Jordans) at two stores in South Bend.
Representatives from the investigation company say it’s one of the biggest counterfeit busts they’ve uncovered while working for Nike.
Shoes are Nike Air Force One and Nike Air Jordan knockoffs. The shoes were purchased for $30 from an importer in New York, who imported them from China. Police said the shoes sold for $60 to $75. via SBT

The information that some of those guys gets have the authentic Jordan’s on ebay; it’s very important to keep. Other OEM comapanies get the same exact shoe from Nike its just that Nike choose not to allow them to copy Jordans. Other shoes such as Dunk, Af1’s, Air Max etc all other Nike shoes they get direct from other Nike Oem LLD companies to make the shoe. now they will loose money and is loosing money now to other companies. ^^^^ Ray, I agree with you on some aspects. Like when these kids that are buying bootlegs I highly doubt they really know they’re “fake” especially if they’re new to the culture. But on the other hand it’s not what you wear, it’s how you wear it. For example, a kid can go hard with a pair of dunks, saucony’s even adidas or sumthin. If their style is clean and they keep it real, they shouldn’t have a problem. Plus I don’t think it’s fair to compare kids in school to adults. When I was growing up I was only allowed 75$ a year for one pair of shoes, I had to save any money I got to pay for the rest. I was happy with whatever pair I got. And like I said before, in the case you were describing, it’s not likely that a kid content to see a jumpman logo on his shoes is going to be walking around like he’s the shit with some “exclusives”
