Nike Manny Pacquiao Holiday 10 Collection

| October 28, 2010 | Comments (13)

While many boxing fans are watching Manny Pacquiao’s fists when he’s in the ring, Nike designers have kept their eyes on his training needs, both inside the gym and outside. Inside they gym, designers focused on his feet. They know Manny’s feet are incredibly strong, in constant motion, and create tremendous torque. Outside the gym, designers focused on keeping Manny comfortable and motivated to compete. Building off these insights, Nike has constructed a collection of footwear and apparel designed to meet his specific needs.

CUSTOM FIGHT BOOT
Manny’s custom fight boot provides improved lockdown while remaining extremely lightweight. Nike Flywire is leveraged throughout the foot and ankle and provides strategically placed support. A forefoot strap has been added for additional lockdown support that helps contain his foot. Nike designers customized the boot with Pacquiao-inspired elements like the meteor print that appears on the insole of the shoe. The meteor represents speed, power and destruction—an appropriate metaphor for Pacquiao’s left arm, where the tattoo resides.

TRAINER 1.2 Black/Red & White/Gold
Pacquiao trains in this limited edition Trainer 1.2. Nike designers customized the black/red Trainer 1.2 with Pacquiao-inspired elements like the meteor print that appears on the insole of the shoe. The meteor represents speed, power and destruction—an appropriate metaphor for Pacquiao’s left arm, where the tattoo resides. The red colorway honors the Philippines while the outsole and sheen on the shoe symbolize the heat of a meteor as it enters the earth’s atmosphere.

Nike designers customized the white/gold Trainer 1.2 with Pacquiao-inspired elements like the seven stars on the left insole, representing Pacquiao’s seven titles. The right insole reads: Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao. The left insole is red and the right insole is blue, in honor of the Philippines. Similarly, the shoe features both red and blue Flywire. The gold colorway of the shoe represents greatness and victory. This exclusive colorway will be worn by all members of Team Pacquiao, including Manny himself.

I just deleted the link from my ebay list…but a Blue/White pair of the Fight Boots just went for $1200. I don’t know how people get these things. The Black trainers are up on Finishline now too.

  6. Shawty Black says:

All of the apparel is nice of course. The fight boots are amazing, but of course impractical for the streets unless I’m going to turn professional street fighter in my spare time (Hadouken!) Aside from that, both Train 1.2s are dope. I like white shoes and these are no exception; I’m just always cautious because they dirty so easily, especially since the trainers are meant to be worked out in and used in versatile terrain so to speak. The temptation to dog them a little bit exceeds the pressure to keep them nice. With that said, I would roll with the black ones just so I can still dog em a little and stay fresh at the same time.
