Nike SB Dunk “Chirping Bird” Larry Perkins
As seen in yesterday’s 6 O’Clock Footwear News, the Nike Dunk Low Premium SB “Chirping Bird” by Larry Perkins has already released at some Nike SB dealers. However, the official release date issued by Nike SB is Saturday, March 20th. This is one of the Nike SB quickstrikes for the month of March, and not to mention, this has been a long-awaited highly anticipated release, so don’t expect them to sit in stores long. If you were able to get your hands on a pair already, good for you. As for the others waiting to get their paws on these Dunks, treat yourself to a detailed look by viewing the images after the cut.

based off that SB phone tag I’m assuming it’s true that the chirping bird got replaced with a ringing phone sound. Either way I’m going to try to get my hands on a pair.

What is the state of Nike SB????? Dudes is going crazy for a pair of sneakers that rings and has fur on them……That dont even sound right….The sad part is that (and ive seen them) material wise they are actually pretty fresh…Salvage black denim patent leather swoosh..not bad…But the desperation that Nike SB has or the ridiculous belief that the only way they can sell product is to have a stupid theme just shows way Nike Sportswear trumped all others last year….Im a fan of creativity..but this just shows you that Nike SB feels that creativity is not whats needed..Gimmicks are…and the HypeBeast will come…tsk tsk..tsk..

From what Ive seen of upcoming samples..this, that horrid “Cliff Huxtable Dunk” and the “Pow” highs were the last of there kind..the rest of the years quickstrikes are pretty impressive..back to simply ideas and creativity..

love the denim and patent leather swoosh. not a big fan of shoes that make sounds though. for anyone that already bought these, is that a semi-padded tounge i see? also what are your local shops charging for these? i know that when a sb is dubbed “quickstrike” that skate spots in my area tend to jack up the price, which means a no go for me.
really what happens when the battery dies
so some1 please explain the sounds these make? like does it make a sound with the touch of a botton or each step or what? by the way I dont own or rock SB’s but these are bit fresh tho
@carter – I don’t have a pair but my understanding is that you have to squeeze the tongue for it to make a sound. which I’m assuming is why they brought back the fat tongue for this release.

The battery life depends on how much you use/press the button (inside the tongue). Once the battery life is gone that’s it.
I can already see it. 10 years from now you’re going to have resellers “chirping birds and they still chirppppp Very RARE!!” gonna jack up the price another $60+ because of it. like finding a pair of LA gears that still light up or some ish lol.
My local shop is getting them tomorrow, so I already have one on hold. From what I was told, they don’t make a sound at all.
